| I have to agree wholeheartedly with every comment criticising channel 7's covergae of the Olympics. I'm not a huge fan of any sport in particular but with school aged children who were so excited about these Olympics we were looking forward to viewing a variety of events. Sadly now we are not even bothering, lack of coverage of a variety of sports, idiot commentators and incessant ads have ruined the entire event. To compound the problem I have a friend who tried to subscribe to a website where you could supposedly watch events of your choice, only to find they could not "play to Australian users" because of the "rights" buy. I agree with the person who commented about 7 using their array of HDD channels to broadcast different events at the same time...how easy would that have been Or why couldn't 7 set up a website where users could access full video of events they wanted to see? |

| This is by far the WORST coverage of an Olympics. I didn't realise that the Olympics had been reduced to approximately 10 sporting events, because that is what Channel 7 would have you believe from their coverage. To date, I have not seen shotput, javelin, long jump, high jump, pole vault etc, etc. The Olympics is an opportunity to witness the world's best in their chosen sport, regardless of the nation represented. I'm a true blue, highly patriotic Australian but the final straw for me was 3 plus hours of softball, and what makes Channel 7 think we all love endless hours of gymnastics with mind numbing commentary. Thank God for Seinfeld re-runs on Fox. | Where is the long jump, high jump, discus, pole vault??????So many real sports seem to be ignored because Australia has no chance at Gold. So why then do we see men's basketball or any soccer, no chance there! AND WHY ALL THAT GYMNASTICS!!!!! Spread the coverage to someone else who will show what you don't want to show, so we can see what we want to see. |

| BTW everyone - we all know that Channel 7 has done a really good job of ignoring these message boards. According to them they only received a dozen or so calls about the AFL last sunday. They only thing they pay attention to is calls made to their complaint hotline. The number is 1300 737 507. You don't need to leave your name. They need to see VOLUME of complaints. |

| How can you spend ALL DAY promoting a basketball game (very cleverly not advertising the time however. Wouldn't want to let people know when stuff is going to be on, would you???) and then show only half of it??? AND, if you are going to show half a game - delayed by the useless softball, which went for hours and we didn't even win (you interrupt every other sport with other events - you couldn't interrupt that mind numbing game for a bit of the BIG GAME?) maybe you should give a heads up to your commentators so they don't mention EVERY TWO MINUTES how amazing the first two quarters were. WE DIDN'T GET TO SEE THEM! We are angry enough that you denied us the first quarter and most of the second, but to rub salt in that wound, the parts we missed were apparently the best parts of the game. Shame we will never know how good the boomers were..... I am a huge channel 7 fan, but this is just beyond ridiculous. Particularly when you are aware of how unhappy the viewers have been since day one. |

| Just caught a glimpse of a pole vaulter! They're not extinct after all. I was under the false impression that the green bit in the middle of the track was for long jump, discus, triple jump, hammer and shotput....but either they've all been dropped from the Games this year or Seven are totally inept....I think I have my answer. |

| Do you people learn? Do you people read what people have to say? How is it possible that after so many complaints about your coverage you make the same mistake over and over again. Obviously, you don't care. You have a captive audience in Australia. If we want to watch the olympics we have to watch channel 7. So you flood us with ads, you make us miss bits so you can ply ads, what is even worse is that we miss bits so you can do self promotion. Someone needs to be fired. Actually, I think your entire programming department should be taken out and shot, and then hacked to pieces. I'e been waiting all day fr the boomers v dream team, you've promoted it all day, then what happens? You skip the first quarter, and half of the second, uring the third you play the 800m heats - one of which did not even have an Aussie in it! What the hell are you doing televising events that don't even have Aussies in preference to events that do have Aussies? | NOW I find out (on that denmark webtv site) that the two NORWEGIAN channels were showing usa/oz basketball on one and athletics on the other. That does it. I'm immigrating, I don't care if they live under 15 metres of ice and snow. At least it would be worth owning my bluddy great big TV. |

| I'm totally bald. Which is devestating given that 2 weeks ago I had a full crop of hair. But my frustration at Seven's coverage has seen me pull it out in clumps. What the hell are they doing? Their 'prime time' coverage each evening consists of a lone guy sitting in a, dark, empty studio like someone who's drawn the short straw for the graveyard shift! Where's the excitement, the build up, the sense of anticipation for the big events to come? And is any of it live? Who know's...they don't say. |

| I'm now watching Seven's coverage of the womens softball semi final in silence!!! The commentating was SO bad it was actually irritating me!!! First of all, you would expect the person behind the microphone to be reasonably familiar with the nomenclature the sport they're calling. PLEASE LEARN WHEN TO USE "INNING" AND "INNINGS". This is the highest level of sport, shouldn't it be matched with at least a reasonable level of commentary? Furthermore, how many times in the space of 20 minutes does the audience need to be reminded that: "we're in sudden death" "the loser takes the bronze medal" "Australia can't afford any slips ups" "it's a pressure situation" "we're in a tie breaker" "one score by JPN will win them the game" For heaven's sake!!! Can we please have a little insight, a little analysis, a tidbit of useful information. What a disgrace. I'm so annoyed!!! |

| Channel 7's Olympic coverage is abysmal. The Track and Field have begun and what did we get last night - gymnastics! Admittedly there was the very rare look at track, but the impression I have is that nothing is happening inside the "bird's nest"! Whoever is deciding which events we will see needs to find out what WE want to see, and not make it up as they go along. I realise that ads are necessary to pay for the coverage, but the number of ads they show? Not to mention when they show them - a gold medal event and they interrupt it with advertising? Ch 7 - You've lost me, and many others. Your coverage is pathetic, poorly-planned and pitiful. |

| I have had a big screen TV for around a year now, and with the countdown to the Olympics approaching I was glad I had invested in this TV. I was thinking that with channel 7 having so many digital channels, that I would have access to 5 separate channel 7 stations with varied coverage, however all I seem to have access to is 5 channels all with the same coverage on it, every night. What an extremely bad coverage this has been. What has made it even worse is the amount of commentary which is from what seems to be people who know very little about sport in general, or if they know something about sport they do not seem to know much about the particular sport they are commenting on. I do not watch NRL or AFL but I do know that when I hear it on TV most weekends the commentary is much better than what I have experienced from 7s coverage of this Olympics. Where is the passion in this Olympics commentary? I find myself not really into this Olympics at all, and I would say that it comes down to a very poor coverage on behalf of the 7 network. |

| In regard to the coverage of the Olympics,I too was frustrated and disappointed.
