| The worst thing about 7 & the Olympics is the disrespect they showed to the Chinese culture in their " comedy" pieces in the mornings thru Sonia Kruger etc. That set the tone for the coverage. |

| Yes channel 7 - you have broken all records and get the gold for the worst EVER coverage of the Olympic Games. I feel cheated - I, like million others, have always watched the Olympic games as we couldn't ever even dream of being there in person. Everyday I hoped for an improvement, but right to the end, it's been awful!! The presenters were absolutely pathetic and some of the comments totally embarrassing! Considering we are only 3 hours ahead of Beijing time - we should have watched EVERYTHING LIVE!!!!! |

| And the Marathon - 7 covered the womens marathon from go to woe and then showed last nights athletics events (in full that had already been shown last night) during the mens marathon??? Just didn't make any sense. |

Channel 7's coverage of the 10m diving final was ATROCIOUS - even worse than what they have done wrong during the week.
How dare they underplay and totally mismanage one of the truly great moments in Olympic sporting history - Matthew Mitcham's gold medal performance.
Hate is a strong word, however I am inclined to use it to describe the depths of my negative emotions towards Channel 7 at this point. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRR! |

| fair ****ing dinkum stinks is not the word. Only for the world of Internet TV I saw the brilliant diving final live and now the Basketball is on and they are showing an interview and c**p on with the Gold Medallist! Everyone watching wants to see the basketball live, not those channel 7 dipsticks who couldnt interview well if they tried. Absolutely disgraceful coverage!!! |

The Seven Network has obviously fallen to a new low..
If we want to show them how we feel we must make a lasting impact beyond the Olympics.. Boycott the Network. Or atleast change to an alternative news service..
I have removed the Seven channel from my t.v. |

I can dig that Ch7 can't please all of the people all of the time - what I object to is the deception.
As an example on the day of Craig Mottrams 5000m heat all of the afternoon promo's on 7 included the 5000m heats - but then 7 don't deliver till several hours after the event. What really sticks in my craw though is that the anchor in the studio tried to pass it off as live saying words to the effect of "Craig Mottram is about to run in the 5000m let's see how he goes" - he plainly knew it wasn't live because he referred to the game between the boomers and the US in the same throw. We are not stupid 7 please don't treat us that way - you lose consumer trust and in my case patronage.
There other things that gritted me. Why not have an around the grounds update? 2GB kept listeners informed of other results in close to real time - why couldn't 7? Just because an Aussie might have lost wouldn't have stopped me watching delayed telecasts but what I wanted was real time results - I found as the games progressed I spent more time listening to 2GB and on the www so I could get results - the television either off or at best on mute - bet that does wonders for your advertisers who probably paid squillions.
Whilst I understand the requirement for ads some decisions to go to them were just flabbergasting - Youcef Abdi's 3,000m Steeplechase final is a good example.
As for shows like Yum Cha - I watched part of precisely one episode - having presenters like Daddo and Krugger is just disrespectful to the athletes - when krugger admitted that there was no way she was watching any of the sport but going shopping - I turned the tele off and it never came back on again. Don't get me wrong I actually like Sonia but this was not a gig for her. And as for Tom Williams - well no comment.
Pat Welsh - give yourself an uppercut son - your interview of Tamsyn Lewis was about the most appalling piece of journalism I've ever seen. |

I CAN'T AGREE MORE WITH THE ATROCIOUS COVERAGE OF THE OLYMPICS. I AM SO SICK OF SEEING THE SAME EVENT BEING SHOWN OVER AND OVER AGAIN MORNING NOON AND NIGHT.
WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE ATHLETICS? HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO SEE THE 100M & 200M TRACK EVENTS AND RELAYS WHAT ABOUT THE SHOT, DISCUS, LONG JUMP, HIGHJUMP. WE ONLY GOT TO SEE THE POLE VAULT BECAUSE THERE WAS A GOLD MEDAL.
AND WHO WAS THE IDIOT THAT LET TAE KWON DOH BE PART OF THE OLYMPICS PATHETIC VIEWING ENTERTAINMENT THE DIVING IS ONLY ENTERTAINING BEACUSE OF THEIR IMPOSSIBLE ABILITY BUT DO WE HAVE TO SEE IT CONTINOUSLY??? THOUGH YOUNG TOM (GB) IS CUTE!
I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SIT AND WATCH ALL DAY TODAY SATURDAY AND REPETITION IS SICKENING.
AND WHATS WITH ALL THOSE SHORT CLIP DOCUS ABOUT WHATS HAPPENDED EACH DAY THAT WE HAVEN'T HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE????????????
I SUPPOSE I COULD FOLLOW GORDON RAMSEY ADVISE AND F---ING TURN IT OFF!

| Terrible coverage... I would like to know how much of the telecast was actually live. 7 must think we are fools as now with the internet we can see the results as they happen. 2GB can go from venue to venue LIVE so why cant 7? I think 7 couldnt care what people say. As for all the promos for their new shows , well there is nothing i will watch.....glad i have pay tv. |

| Worst Olympic coverage ever. Why do we have SBS and 7 covering the games when they show the very same thing on both channels. I'm sure there is other things happening at the Olympic than just soccer. I really hope 7 never win another Olympic game TV rights. You lot are a big joke. |

| 7's coverage of these olympics are the worst we have ever seen. All we see are repeats of what has happened in the last few day and a severe lack of coverage of the varying sports. We thought that long jump, pole vault and I could go on and on, had been omitted from this olympics such was the lack of coverage. If I can make a suggestion. Watch SBS coverage, record the whole of 7's coverage and next morning fast forward through it while Yum Cha is on and watch the little bits that aren't repeats or ads, then you will have time to go out and mow the lawn before Yum Cha finishes. Have a good look at yourself SEVEN!!!!!!! |

| Did 7 telecast the olympics? I thought it was just a swimming meeting with abit of track and field on the side.Their coverage should include ALL australian competitors regardless of medal chances, after all they qualified for the olymics.Include all sports not just those considered popular in your narrow pespective. I would go so far as to say 7 is unaustralian, thank god for SBS, they may have had a lot of soccer BUT other sports got a go as well and isn't that what were supposed to be about a Fair go |

I think the coverage has been absolute rubbish. Last night I tolerated watching any rubbish whilst the AFL was on until 10:30pm. Then when the Games stated again all we got was promos for the swimmers and commercials. You would think that since we in Vic had just rejoined the coverage that they would enable us to catch up on what was happening....not.
I dont understand why channel 7 has not used another one of their digital channels to use as Commonwealth Games so all people could see it. I know a competitor has done this before with the soccer, and it means you can watch coverage of two games!
And the commentators do not get me started, Yum Cha is a waste of space. The cross promos with the celebrity commentators is such a bad move. They are not experts, and seem that they are only there to fill in the space with chit chat.
I like many others probably have stayed up late and fell asleep in front of the TV only to try and watch something that never seemed to materialise. I was a fan of the swimming but highlights and new of the swimmers long after it is frustrating. Especially long after the competition has finished surely give the other sports a chance.
Very dissapointing channel 7. I know that my family will not be turning on to 7 after the Games finish! |

| I rang the 1300 number to ask why they didn't show even a few minutes of the men's triple jump final or women's javelin final tonight and it was "closed". Couldn't even leave a recorded message. Perhaps the triple jump and javelin were shown and I missed them as I was dozing in my chair?? |

Channel 7 commentators are a bunch of whiners. Next Olympics I won't be viewing Channel 7. With ADSL2 you can get quality content and professional commentary from foreign broadcasters and fast.
There is a bit of congratulation to do however. The Olympics isn't *just* about Australia. That's not in the Olympic spirit. It's about everybody from every country, competing together. Sure Channel 7 has the responsibility to broadcast Australian events, but it has to also make an effort to show other events. |

So in buying the rights to the Games, and then not sharing them properly with other channels to make sure they don't get any ratings from the Olympics, and restricting access to internet coverage, 7 effectively bought out our choices to maximise their own ratings.
This is cynical greed. For me the Channel Seven brand is irretrievably damaged. No matter how good their shows, or what sporting event it is, after this Olympics I will not watch that channel.
Seven forgets that on the new age of technology there are many, many alternatives to their programmes, and many, many alternatives to watching television for recreation. |
