| I think you did the right thing to! I now live in the top end but worked briefly in Mackay 16 yrs ago...Haven't seen it since but it was a 'top' spot. Maybe we will get back there one day for a longgg stay. Now only 10 yrs away from retirement and don't want to do the 'Gold Coast' thing !!! (That was where I went to school and still own a home in Southport....Hey, maybe someone from Sydney will buy it!!!) All the best. |

| Got a story for you all My cousin and her boyfriend where going to live there (Makyay) for a year just to see what it was like and they live in Sydney and they where only up there for 4 or more days and decided to come back because of the heat. |

| We are the smartest people around when we decided to move from Sydneys Macarthur reguion to Mackay in Central Queensland. We have never looked back and despite the doomsday people back in NSW we are the ones that are laughing now!!!!!!
