| Clare is 1 1/2 hrs from Adelaide so might be a bit far away for you soho. It is a lovely place though. Nuriopta and other Barossa regions are closer. You could look into the Adelaide Hills as there are alot of nice places around there and you are still close to Adelaide. |

| Not entirely sure where that area is. There seems to be a lot of cheap houses within that 80-100km radius east of adelaide. Sure its a bit dryer then WA but its so close to everything. (we are about 3kms from the princess freeway.) But yeah definately seems like a good idea to us, some land and a new house, cant go wrong if you ask me. Leave these WA house prices to the 'battlers'. |

Yeah no problems with crime etc where we are going. We already know some people over there from internet forums etc. I work flyin-flyout as a driller, so can live anywhere in australia. We have two horses, so will make good use of the 21acres, plus i am thinking of running a few sheep or a beef to put in the freezer as well. It simply comes down to continually saving over here in the hope of buying 5acres and a rundown house in 20years, or move state, have a 3yr old house and 20 acres now plus be 100k up. :)
p.s. Already looked at schools/hospitals etc as well as I have 2 young girls.
p.p.s. As for the fitting in bit. Like anywhere its hard to meet people at first. But having a young family etc hopefully we will be welcome. We also have a nice big rotty if anyone wants to try and rob us. :) |

Sounds good but have you done your research SA is great but not all towns are good cheap yes but crime can be a huge problem plus unemployment and some areas are very hard to join in and be accepted .Leaving WA can only be a positive moove what about work.
Good luck |

| We are kind of doing a reverse seachange. Moving from the coast of WA to the murray region of SA. House prices are crazy over here. We have 200k equity simply from sitting on our house for 3 years. So yeah hello SA, 20acres and new house, 1hour from Adelaide for about half what our house is worth here. Btw i work fifo so the 1hr drive compared to 4hr drive here will be very nice :) |
