| wataloadarubbish, don't you think it is time to move on. My favourite was Virginia but I am not going to gripe about her not winning. As for you not demeaning any posters/viewers - I think calling them suckers for voting for Julia is pretty demeaning, as is criticising Julia for her age and weight when that is not what the competition is about. Still, we acknowledge that you are upset that Virginia didn't win, but I'm sure she would rather you accept the results with good grace, as she herself did. |

| Wataloadarubbish, you are right, you don't write like that but many on these threads do and it is driving me batty. I simply do not agree with your opinions on this subject as I think that Julia was a very worthy winner. I know that we all see things differently and that we must accept each other's opinions. It seems that more people agreed with me when it came to voting than agreed with you. None of this matters enough to get cross about it as the winners only get a funny trophy and we get a few weeks of good entertainment. | Would HAVE, Still HAVE......etc. The show is about: musical entertainment, celebrities trying their hand at something they may have wanted to do but not had the opportunity until now, and they can get paid for it, plus learn from professional singers, raising money for charity, among other things. It isn't a popularity contest, although some couples have gone further than perhaps warranted on the strength of viewer voting, but in all three series - the best couple has won, in the opinion of judges and majority of voters. Still, I guess you won't have to worry about it any more as I'm sure you won't bother to watch the next series. |

| If Virginia had won then yes I would still of wanted the voting system changed....as you would of if Paul had won which he very nearly did. It's easy to say that you wouldnt care now as the results are in ,and someone that was your fav. won but they may as well just hold a popularity contest for all its worth. | Don't you know anything about Copyright laws? Where do you think Channel 7 is going to get the money for charities if not from phone voting? Julia/David and Virginia/Ian both scored 69 points from the judges in the semi-final. J&D scored lowest for one song, and V&I scored lowest for another. Just how this makes one couple lower than the other, I'm not sure. If Virginia had won, would you be wanting the voting changed? |

When you purchase an overseas format show, with copyright, etc attached you can't change it - anyway the way it operates now seems to work - after all they are not competing for "sheepstations" the aim of the exercise is to entertain which most of the posters here seem to agree it does. |

| Doesnt matter how they bought the show they should still change it....so that the judges vote counts only, they only do this so they can get money from people who vote they could still give money to the winners charity and others depending on where they placed. Obviously, the judges and most of the voters thought she was the best - and if you can't see that her mentioning her age, etc. was a joke, then you take things far too seriously. As for the voting system - forget it! It's unlikely to change because that's the way the program was copyrighted by the BBC. |

| Magicmazza...actually I didnt bring up her age and weight ....she did when she was throwing it in to get people to vote for her. | magic - the writer was actually 'wataloadarubbish', the 'watasoreloser' was my suggestion, but the rest of your comments were pretty spot on. In truth, Julia is very likely much slimmer in real life - it's a known fact that TV cameras can make a person look several kilos heavier. |

| wataloadarubbish - you're next ID could well be watasoreloser. The best 3 couples were in the semi-final. Virginia may possibly have been the best singer, technically, with Julia and Russell not far behind. However, in a show like ITT there is more to a performance than just singing a song. The presentation counts for a lot with both judges and viewers, and in that department, Julia and David were streets ahead of the rest. Viewers voted well for Julia right from Episode 1 because they appreciated the entertainment value, she didn't have to wait until 'after her birthday'. Virginia (and possibly, Ian) simply didn't have quite enough viewer support. I imagine that Russell had a great deal of viewer support but in the Final it just wasn't quite enough. Viewers vote for celebrities or couples for a variety of reasons - and there's nothing wrong with that. You are entitled to your opinion as to who was the best singer, should have won, etc. just as we are. By the way, it's 'should have' not 'should of'. When will people learn? |
