| I thought she sang the song pretty well, especially liked her lower tones. BUT regardless of who wrote it I actually thought the song was excrutiatingly boring. She did a good job tho - especially for a live performance. |

| Erika co wrote or wrote the lyrics for her album and she has travelled to America and the UK to work with other songwriters and producers |

| "Finding" songs could certainly refer to seeking out songs written by other people. Or she may have been "finding" inspiration to compose songs of her own. As you say, we will know when the album is released. |

Erika, I think, said something about traveling around the world to "find" songs, but I think it came out as implying that she wrote them.
Grant, I think, said that she wrote the song. This could all have been off-the-cuff. Grant is not always accurate in what he says.
Perhaps the record label and blurb will clarify this when the CD is released. |

| I thought it was just one of the songs on her album. Unfortunately, I didn't tape the program to replay and see what was said. |

| Did Erika claim to have written 'Slide'? Or is it just one number on an album containing other songs, some of which she wrote? |

The song Slide that Erika Heynatz claims is original is not her own song ... it's by a singer/songwriter from NY called Rosi Golan.
Google "rosi golan", she has samples on her website and myspace pages.
Sounds more like song theft than original work to me! |

| I think nerves may have played a part, and yes I imagine as with most performers these days- she will sound better from a studio !! (LOL) |

Thoughts?
I like the song; and I think it was a decent performance, but I have a feeling the studio version will be heaps better.
I wonder if Erika's album will be all pop-rock stuff like 'Slide' is? |
