| Dear Ros - why did I not think about that? Of course, you want quality entertainment in your home for the grandies, and what better way to provide it? Unfortunately I've all ready blabbed to daughter that the precious Miss Soon-to-be-Three will be receiving the afore-mentioned entertainment extravaganza, so I'm afraid that it will have to be sacrificed on the altar of honesty and fair play. So glad that SE Queensland "turned it on" for you - haven't the days been sparkling? (Like a pair of sparkling eyes, in fact). Have received my ticket for J-Mo's one night stand at the Playhouse Theatre on 24th June - sort of an early birthday present for moi (very early, in fact). Can't wait for that one - mad for it! Best wishes for David's opera season - must seem rather "normal" after all his other ventures! |

Finally time to stop and take a breath.
After being whisked around south east Queensland (beautiful one day perfect the rest thanks to Gwenda and Bett who ordered the glorious weather for me) at a ripping pace, racing home to put in $150 worth of native tubes before the rain came (glorious rain) I am back at work and can now relax!! Unfortunately I did not get to catch up with David on Spicks and Speck because I was so busy holidaying. But I am tempted to purchase one already mentioned DVD - to be kept at my house for the grandies to view whilst here being supervised - I believe in watching everything the children are expected to watch ... quality control it's called. |

Hi Guise84, it was me who said David deserved top billing.
Yes, this has been such great fun for us all. It is so good to have a group of people who have never met finding a common interest and joining together to give encouragement and support while enjoying such comeraderie and escaping, even for a short time, from sometimes rather empty existences.
Guise84, thank you for some stimulating discussions. I have enjoyed them. I am glad that you too appreciate the work of David Hobson. Some of us have followed his life and career for many years and have never lost our enthusiasm. May he keep well and keep making music forever.
MUSIC IS THE WINNER |

Okay. Apologies.
Perhaps I was thinking of the effort to get 1000 posts up., or the apologies to Jan from Germany for scoring the 1000th post or whatever it was. But I have seen a comment to the effect that, even becoblue just a few hours ago on another thread, that it was good to keep the thread at the top, (because David is a top tenor).
I don't think that this is a bad thing.
This thread probably has the biggest and widest following of all and is always cheerful and happy.
I don't post to it very often (even though I enjoy David Hobson's singing) because I feel it is the personal property of so many of you.
Again, apologies if I have misquoted any of you. |

The comedy debate tonight was a great show with Julia's team winning. Julia is having a very winning year. Let us hope the rest of her year will be equally successful!
GO JULIA |

***Jan frequently says that she posts to this thread to bring it to the top.***
Excuse me? I have no idea to what this pertains since I haven't bothered to read the new thread but, for the record, I've posted just eleven times since GF night and nothing for the last ten days! In fact, compared to the previous seasons - and DWTS - I didn't post a great deal at all during ITT/3!!
The series ended four weeks ago, with a happy conclusion for Julia and David and all their supporters, so I personally feel that their thread should now be allowed to drift gently away, having served its purpose very well indeed.
HERE'S TO 'LADY' JULIA AND 'SIR' DAVID - MAY THEIR YEAR CONTINUE TO BE AS HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL AS IT HAS BEEN SO FAR!!! |

All I was saying was that the Ian Moss thread will sink to the bottom if people don't post to it, unless its originator keeps on talking to herself.
Jan frequently says that she posts to this thread to bring it to the top. I'm not complaining about that as there are many more than one person interested here.
Not everything is a criticism! Just an observation.
PS I like David Hobson and listen often to his CDs so I am not an "enemy troll". |

For those who would like to see Julia in her natural metier, she will be appearing in the Melbourne International Festival Great Debate on Channel 10 at 8.30 tonight.
The subject? Is Reality Better On TV?
It should be entertaining to say the least.
(Uh, oh, look what I've done, guise - brought the thread to the top....LOL) |

| Gwenda - this whole episode was triggered by an urgent need to unwind after driving 350 kls today taking a friend around the Mt Warning/Border Ranges area - so, really, it was therapy! As for my dancing expertise? It would have chooks laying hard-boiled eggs if they were forced to witness it. In fact, less said on that subject - the better. I'm thinking, that some advanced therapy may be required tonight - The Exquisite Hour comes immediately to mind. It might prevent me form re-living all those tight corners I've driven around today................... |

| Dear Gwenda - I've just done a bad bad thing. Yes,I removed the cover from Dorothy and indulged in the Cachuca again - great fun - David's contribution was very enjoyable and Dorothy was in fine voice as well. At least my grand-daughter won't have to go through the trauma of unwrapping the shrink-wrap! (That's my excuse - he! he!) |

Well, it's over already. They mainly talked about Andrew Upton who wrote the libretto and about the co-production between the Victorian Opera and the Sydney Theatre Company. There was also quite a lot of discussion about Lewis Carrol and Alice Lidell.
Tonight is the preview and the production opens on Tuesday night. Tickets are already sold out but they keep a few back so it's worth enquiring if you still want to go.

| Hi to all of you Lovelies! Yes, Friday's offering was indeed sweet - just as enjoyable as it was the first time around. I'm really not one to indoctrinate my grandchildren, but I have purchased a certain little someone (soon to be three) Dorothy the Dinosaur's DVD. It arrived yesterday and sits on the table taunting me with it's list of contents - I'm very much afraid that naughty Nanna may be taking a knife to the shrink wrapping and indulging in a preview. I'm sure the little angel will not notice if the DVD is slightly pre-loved before she gets it. Can't wait to see David teaching Dance the Cachuca to the prehistoric Dorrie! Should be fun. |
