Wedding was sweet.
I wish the ads didn't give away what happens though. |

| Oh I love Carbo, megan, he's not usually the type of character I like, but I just can't help smiling when I see him on screen. Love him and Rachel the very best. |

| xo.megank, it keeps us guessing eh!? I took quite a while to warm to Carbo, but he seems to have matured now and become more of a man! Very funny. |

The scenes involving Carbo were great, it's no wonder I love his character.
I too like Rachel and Jake as a couple; the chemistry is definitely there, so I'm always hoping to see more each week. |

| I think it's a moot point about their age. There's no "perfect" or "ideal" age for marriage as everyone and their circs are different. The wedding was meant to be non-traditional (which it was) and I think it measured up very well. Carbo sure is coming into his own eh! Loved him putting Mel's father back in his box - great stuff. |

| Rachel's character has always been very sensual and I think her need for physical love has sometimes clouded her judgement leading to disappointment and heartbreak. There's no doubt her and Jake have a huge physical atrraction on screen (and off) but that doesn't neccessarily mean love, which is why our divorce rate is so high. Mel and Ben are looking for a different more stable sort of commitment, like Ben said at the wedding, referring to the traditional vows being good enough for his parents. They just want to have kids and grow old happily as a family and there's nothing wrong with that. |

| The wedding was beautiful, simple but very elegant, especially Mel's dress and everyone was very moved(emotionally) and very happy except for 'Big Pat' who seemed very small to me, in more ways than just stature. I think they got married quickly and simply because after all the ups and downs they finally realized they love one another and that is the most important reason to tie the knot. Unfortunately too many people wait until they have got everything and like another poster said they then have difficulty falling pregnant. There's a lot to be said for young love. |

| Evanparsons...what difference whether they are married early or not. It's the lifetime commitment which is important. I know a couple (close to home) who married young 36 years ago, are best friends and still have that 'special chemistry'. They started with nothing, have raised three kids, who all have degrees and now own their own home and have no debts. Early start works for some... |

Yes hannah-rose, a lot of couples seem to getting married later these days as it's all too easy just to live together.
Unfortunately, waiting to have children until your mid 30s is proving to be a challenge with more and more couples undergoing IVF.
Times, they are a changin'......and not always for the better. |

Exactly Diamonte - that dance scene with Jake and Rachael was very telling, and I feel it had way more "heat" than Ben and Mel could ever generate.
Absolutely love Carbo.....what a great character to have in the show. He's always there to save the day! |

Oh that's interesting trekker, that you also noticed the chemistry bit too. When Rachel and Jake were dancing, I thought, wow, now there is some sizzling hot, far more so than Melissa and Ben.
The episode was ok, I also loved Carbo's scenes, he always cracks me up. Love how he put Dad into his place. Classic! |

The wedding was "ok" (and I don't really care about the age factor as I don't think there is any "right age" to get married).
The wedding was consistent with the quirkiness of the show, but the parts I really loved were Carbo's tearing up and Carbo putting Pat in his place.
Racael and Jake really do have great chemistry and it's a shame this overshadowed Mel and Ben connection - especially as it involved a wedding.
Overall I thought the episode was ok, but had expected it to be a fraction more entertaining. It certainly wont rate on my "best weddings in aussie TV soaps" list. |

omg Hannah! i have to agree I was balling my eyes out! such a lovely and romantic wedding! i loved how mle had the guts to stand up to her father! and the couple r perfect for each other!
plus they werent too young to get married, my m8 15 and her bf 16 is proposing to her nxt year! so how young is too young! Ben and Mel r the new cool age to get married! im so glad their special day actually came! and it wasnt a trian-wreck! plus mel hinted last nite that she wants to start a family! hopefully they do! it would be good to see them as parents and a young rafter on the show, besides julies baby!
they deserve each other
the order of the kids goes Rachel,Ben then Nathan
so dont say they dont belong together!
p.s. Mel looked pretty in her dress, and it was cute how carbo started to tear last night! |

I didn't think the wedding was a joke, I thought it was beautiful and had me reaching for the tissues. LOL.
As for Ben and Mel being too young, I don't agree. Ben is 24 and many people get married around that age. In my opinion, the main reason these days that some couples wait until they are older to get married is because they are already living together and can't be bothered to make it official until they are ready to start a family. |

No Nathan was married at 20 and has been married for about 2 years so that would make him 22ish.
Ben said he was 24 last night and I think Melissa is about the same age.
Rachael is 25. |
