Ben is so distraught that he disspears on the morning of the wedding, a fact known to everyone except his bride. after a frantic search uncovers no sign of him, he finally answers a call from brother Nathan (angus mclaren). when Ben reveals his dilemma, his brother offers to call off the wedding on his behalf. "he's put on his suit, but hes torn that he cant do much more than that. so nathan says "look if this is really what you want, i'll take you to the airport and i'll deal with the fallout, but you have to tell me what to say to mel" and Ben says ' this is the problem, I cant figure out what to say". will Mel be left at the altar, or will Ben arrive in time to say, "i do"? |

| ok Georgi_girl heres what the article says word form word "Mel Jilted at the alter" viewers have been loning for smitten Ben and his soulmate Melissa to tie the knot, but when the big day finally arrives the groom-to-be is riddled with self-doubt and disappears. In the lead up to the wedding Ben is excited, but a crisis of confidence sees him consider fleeing the country and giving up the woman of his dreams forever. "Bens really happy at his bucks night but, by chance he runs into Kat (Melanie Vallejo), the woman he cheated on Mel (Zoe Ventoura) with" says Hugh Sheridan, who plays the nervous groom. "Thats shocking in itself, but she says a few things that really disturb him. Shes got this great one-liner: "you just cant see how tragic it all looks from this side of the white picket fence". Basically, shes thinking, "why would Mel ever stay with a guy like you?" and he realises that, down deep, he's wondering about it too" clearly shaken, Ben then suffers another blow with the surprise early arrival of his fiancee's parents, Linda (Linden Wilkinson) and Pat (Peter Kowitz), and it becomes clear that he's not what they'd hoped for. "Bens surprised at how much Mel's dad obviously dislikes him. I dont think he was expecting him to be as mean as they are" Hugh says. "then he overhears a conversation between Mel and her dad, where he tells her Ben has no ambition and hes just not good enough for her". the harsh words, coupled with his ever-growing stress over mel's wish for them to write their own vows, make him even more worried about walking down the aisle. "if he cant work out what to say on the most important day of his life, what kind of sign is that for the rest of his marriage?" Hugh Explains "His mum Julie (rebecca gibney), finds him moping the night before the wedding and asks her if he's good enough for Mel. he's having second thoughts but theyre nothing to do with the love he has for mel. its all about whether she deserves |

| hey georgi girl i read tv week today and it basically said that ben gets cold feet right before his wedding due to kat and mels parents. it said that on the day of ben and mels wedding ben disappears and the rafter family r trying to keep it from mel. nathan finds him and says he can always cancel the wedding 4 ben and take him to the airport but ben has to tell him what 2 say to mel. the article was called something like "will ben break mels heart?" ..... i still think they will get married!!!!!!! hope this helps :) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
