| Personally I don't think it was the worst logies ever; after all we've had some absolute stinkers in the last 10 years. I think they hit rock bottom in 2007 when they tried multiple hosts. These included a bunch of bums from radio such as Hamish and Andy aswell as Fifi box. Also included was ABCs Adam Hills who made jokes about the recenly deceased Crocodile Hunter while Teri Irwin looked on as a guest. This years was also not as bad as the year Weny Harmer hosted. Also no one seems to be acknowledging the improvements that were made including only broadcasting brief highlights of The Current affair/documentary presentations which have often been responsible for draging the night out or bringing the night down (depending on how depressing the subject matter of the documetries were. This year those awards and the childrens tv awards were apparently presented earlier in the day and thakfully the edited highlights of these helped this years logies finish slightly earlier. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Shaun was the best. I didn't mind Gretel. I think the "talent" Mauboy et al was bad. | Heard a tv "guru" on radio this morning pushing Gretel's case and saying that we shld all wonder if we could do as well!!! What the...... she is supposed to be a professional (something) and highly paid to carry out the task, whereas the general population is not. Excuses excuses.. so what if the room was "hard to work" - goes with the job I would have thought. | Gretel could not have been the best we could offer. Bring back Shaun, Denton, someone with a bit of humour and who doesn't force 16 yo's to announce their love on national TV. What?! | I so agree, the Logies were so bad that I was watching Borat (again) and only watching who won. The hosting was so bad (poor interviews, horrid "jokes", it was embarrasing to watch), the gags were not funny (shows lack of tallent in writing in Australia), the presenters were boring and the show went so late - all of this just puts people off watching. As for those who say "can you do better" and stop being mean - well 1) I couldn't do any worse, 2) it is not my job, she is professional "host" & was paid to do it so we should expect that she can do a good job and 3) if no comments are made how will it improve? It is not personal just honest feedback meant to allow the Logies to improve and get entertaining again. |

| I'll say. I mean the other shows that were nominated I have never even heard of apart from packed to the rafters and Underbelly. I mean I saw a quick glimpse of Andrew ( bart a/saints) on the show with Larry and his co-host this morning and he didn't look to impressed to be there I don't blame him thou who would when you know that your show wasn't nominated and have to put up with sitting through 4hrs of the show.I mean you would need a drink after that. | I too though Jessica Mauboy was not up to it and also neither was Tom Burlison. He sang quite off key and what on earth has he done to his face? If that is not a facelift gone wrong, I don't know what is!. And as for Gretel - she was just shocking - not funny at all, hair gone wrong and sometimes really quite offensive. | I agree Annie Lennox was a big disapointment and idiots who mimed the nominations were idiots hands down. I was disapointed even Jessica Mauboy wasnt too great. | I agree with you writetobel...it should be industry voting only. As if that Home and Away kid won best actor over Gyton Grantley (Underbelly) and Erik Thomson (Packed to the Rafters)! | oh geez - the best international act we could come up with was one half of an 80's duet. oh please come on australia. we could have done so much better. as for a woman hosting the even, men just seem to host so much better than women. while some outfits would have been better for mowing the lawn one stand out for me was dannii |
