| The a.f.i awards do honour Australian T.V shows, however unlike the Logies the winners are chosen by people who work in the film/t.v industry only so the awards ceremony dosnt look like a glorified popularity contest like the logies do. Usually the winners are not from Home and Away or Neighbours etc, which means that these awards dont get alot of coverage and sometimes completely ignored by the commercial free2air networks because most of thier shows are never nominated.....which i think is an insult to the deserving winners strive to be 'most outstanding' not 'most popular'. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I don't think they are a trip for fake people, but I think they are redundant, irrelevant Bring on some tv, film critics awards (similar to the Emmys and so forth) I think the AFIs honour tv yeh? |
