| For all you whingers out there who complain about Without the ads the show IS the same length - I tape it and cut all the ads out with my DVD recorder. Tape the damn show for yourself and then edit out the ads and then you can watch it over and over again. If you can't find the record button then find a 5 year old to show you how to press it! Otherwise if you're still not happy throw out your TV or turn it over to Australian Idiot. If that still doesn't make you happy wait for K&K to come out on DVD... sheesh get a life |

| Ditto twofold, I couldn't have said that better myself. Comercial TV doesn't kill a show, and the girls are used to writing for comercial tv anyway, writing for Big Girls Blouse, Fast Forward, Something Stupid so it works anyway. I don't know not one person who lives on ABC and only watches ad-free shows. Geez, that's life. Learn to enjoy the beauty in being able to make a toot break between a show without missing anything. | oh you're the best...i love Kath and Kim and if you love it then why bag it. Why say 'ohh i loved it on ABC but now it's on 7 and there are commericals the show is crap'...get over it!!!! Desperate Housewives is on 7, Lost is on 7, Ugly betty is on 7 all with commercials and they are very popular shows in Australia...so get over it!! Be happy we get another season and stop complaining. Kath and Kim are the best on tv...they rock!! They are so funny. Who cares whether there are ads or not. Wait for the dvds if you want to watch the show sans (without) ads...my god!! People are just plain rude and not grateful for what we have |

| I agree that it was the best ever. It's moved channels so what?, It was just as funny as ever, maybe even more so. it the same kath and kim just more advertised. She didn't have her mouth open talking drivel, she wasn't dribbling or looking silly like a Koala on steroids, nor did she spout clichés which flooded the screen like unwanted subprime mortgages from America. The kid looked and sounded the most intelligent person in the TV set, even if her appearances were fleeting. Her gaze was wondering and penetrating, a bit like a visitor from another country looking at K&K and wondering; are they for real? The sense of 'what's the next atrocity'? There weren’t many and Brett was the silent hero for tolerating so much, as he always does. Perhaps that's what the TV viewer picked up and why more than 2.5 million people tuned in to watch Kath and Kim debut on Seven at 7.30 pm: or, as Seven says, return to Seven. The program was a bit disjointed because of the ad breaks, but its commercial TV and the multimillion dollar deal Seven signed up for needs to be repaid. Not even the most optimistic Seven person would have put money on 2.5 million, or a peak of 2.731 million. That puts all the noise Nine has been making about Sea Patrol, and Ten about Thank God You're Here into context. | Also people have stated wether the camera work will be now professional and loose that documentary style and it hasn't. it still has that crappy, hand-held, documentary camera work and i love it. fantastic episode and the actors brought my fav's back to life |

| The first episode of Kath and Kim was spectacular. Stuff the people who say 'it's sold out and it's crap after moving to 7.' I thought it was the best episode so far. So funny and when Kath was speaking Indonesian on the phone was hilarious. I thought it was the best episode out of the entire 4 series so far. The show was not 30 min on ABC. If you look on the DVDs no episode in season 1,2 or 3 goes above 25 min and on Channel 7 it's the same length. No shorter. It has not sold out. My uncle is a writer for the show and he says they have not lost control and channel 7 gives them the freedom to write whatever they want. He has been a writer since Series 1, episode 1. He's had a hand in writing all 3 series and now the 4th. He says that the show is back and better than ever. It hasn't sold out and promoting ever company and product they can. Kath and Kim rocked channel 7 and their move to a commerical network has only increased their chances for more viewers. Some people can't get ABC on their tv due to crappy reception and now on channel 7 more people can watch them. STOP BAGGING THEM AND ENJOY THEM. THEY'RE HERE TO STAY!!! |
