Last night I watched the Aussie K & K and I can see that there's no way you can replace the characters. It's their personalities that make the show what it is, not just the scripts.
The American version bore no resemblance to our show and I'm not surprised the Yanks disliked it as much as we did. |

THe American Version was just TERRIBLE!! What were they thinking! The yanks are just NOT funny! There is no way that this show could work with Americans playing the roles as it is a truely 'Australian' show - that is what was funny about it!
I just want them to hurry up and show some new Aussie episodes! Come of girls!! |

| I think its sad that the American version has been axed. It wasn't supposed to be exactly the same as the Aussie one. I thought it was starting to be quite likeable but guess I won't get to see any more. |

Thank goodness!!!
I saw an add just before that it has been axed and the proper australian series is back on!
XD
I'm not even at home when its on on sunday night which sucks, but i was last week, and it was terribly disgusting the american series.
What the hell they dont even talk the way they do, you cant honestly say that kim is a 'hornbag', Kel doesnt even have a manbag!!! And nor did i even get a laugh at the way Kath and Kel attempt to hook up!
Im glad its back. |

| Why did we sell the rights of this great show to the Americans who have totally trashed the name of it. |

the american version is gone, the australian version will be on instead.
The curiosity factor is over and Aussies have voted with their eyeballs.
Channel Seven has moved quickly on lousy numbers for Kath and Kim: The American Series which fell to 729,000 viewers last night. It was down from 1.23m in its first outing.
It was beaten by 20 to 1 and an early edition of Australian Idol.
Seven will replace it with the original duo, Jane Turner and Gina Riley with the episode “Obsession” from this Sunday night. It guest stars Vince Colosimo. That means we may never get to see episodes that were entirely scripted from scratch…
In the US Kath and Kim took a 20% fall in its second week and fell to third in 18 - 49’s.
Turner & Riley are believed to be writing episodes for a new, local series.
