| but ugly betty is on ABC in america and heroes is on NBC, the online content rights for them will be negotiated completely separately. the rights may be for 2 weeks, 3 weeks a month, any period of time that the american network or production company agrees to. you have to remember that channel 7 has to pay extra for the right to show these online and because this is a digital channel the audience is far smaller and consequently the advertising money made off them may be quite small. i fully expected each episode to only remain up for 1 week, anything longer than that is a bonus (and not what is normally done) and you have to get in quick or you'll miss out, i did warn people of this possibility when i did a post about ugly betty being available online but because someone else did the post about heroes i didn't want to do a repeat of the same thing so left it to them, perhaps i should have added something. but i had no information on exactly how long it would be up. even if channel 7 is willing to pay more money the american owners of heroes may refuse to extend the amount of time the episodes can be hosted online for, they have all the power. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Well I've just had a look at the Ugly Betty episodes and they are all still available ie. from Nov 3rd. Heroes now have the 11th and 18th Nov available. It doesn't make any sense not to have Nov 4th. If channel 7 advertise you can catch up on episodes you have missed on yahoo7 then we should be able to do just that. Will Yahoo7 please make available the 4th Nov episodes of Heroes online. I didn't think I would need to rush to watch them as I figured they would be available all the time. I will try and do the pause thing to get it loaded quicker - very annoying. Cheers Wendy |

| episode 23 is the last episode from last season, they must have paid for unlimited online rights with that season so they are still on the website. but this seasons episodes appear to only remain up for a limited time. the stopping and starting is due to a slow internet connection. unfortunately the yahoo7 player is bad for this, you can't just pause it and wait for it all to load like with youtube. but I have found that pausing it for a while does allow it to load a bit, but you still have to keep playing and then pausing for a bit because if you pause it for a really long time it doesn't seem to load any further than if you only paused for a few minutes. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Hi, First off, am I correct in thinking Episode 23 is the episode that was screened on 4th November as there are no other videos for that day. Secondly, I'm having serious trouble watching these episodes. I get a couple of words then it freezes for ages then a few more words are said and freezes again. Has anyone else experienced this? I wish Channel 7 would repeat these first few episodes even if it's on very late. I have Foxtel so I'll get channel 72 next week. But if I can't watch online then I'm going to miss a big chunk of the storyline and you can't really do that with a programme like Heroes. Cheers Wendy |
