i think everything tim said was spot on the remark

i thought after the end of season 1, that everything wont be so dragged out and it will just be all action packed, but then the pace got slowed down again

at least now the same mistake wont be made....and the whole virus thing should definitely have been showed earlier

we all knew about the bomb for 22 eps last season, with the virus, really we only knew about it for 5, which didnt have the same effect

i think volume 3 will be awesome, no more wasted time explaining these stories about these characters and just go on straight to the main plot

the Heroes series has been soo messed up having breaks being to far behind etc. It would be a nice change to have a consistent series without all the drama

I think the first 6 episodes of season 2 were pretty much pointless.

It only really started getting interesting the last 2 weeks and now they're cutting it short! WTF?

ooh yeah i love that romance; west is soo hot! But i hav heard stuff pplz have said saying that Heroes is getting boring and in think its just coz in the first season we were amazed by these powers and now in the second seasons we already know these powers and used to them. But i still love Heroes its the best show. I'm also missing missperfectionist1 she used to be on alot i guess she must be MIA

Claire and West's romance was ok.. save perhaps for the bit where he flew with her (but then if I had that trick up my sleeve..), but I totally agree with the rest of what Tim Kring said. Peter's apocalyptic preview was an arc that completely changed the direction of the show. But since then, this season has picked up a lot, and I love the more serious, action-packed tone of it, even more than Season 1 I think.

Did anyone else hear about creator Tim Kring apologising to the fans for this season being disappointing? Apparently ratings have dropped by 15% in the states for the second season.

What have you thought about season 2? I've found it to be sluggish, with the pace far too slow, more action is definately needed.

Here's what Tim Kring had to say if you haven't already seen it.

THE WORLD-SAVING STAKES SHOULD HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED SOONER The premonition of nuclear apocalypse created a larger context that unified every story line last season. Kring now sees that Volume 2 (the first 11 episodes of season 2) would have been better served if Peter's vision of viral Armageddon had appeared in the season premiere rather than episode 7. ''We took too long to get to the big-picture story,'' he says.

THE ROOKIES DIDN'T GREET THEMSELVES PROPERLY New Heroes Monica (Dana Davis), Maya (Dania Ramirez), and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) ''shouldn't have been introduced in separate story lines that felt unattached to the show. The way we introduced Elle (Kristen Bell) — by weaving her in via Peter's story line — is a more logical way to bring new characters into the show.'' (That said, Kring says a few newbies won't make it beyond this second volume, which wraps Dec. 3.)

HIRO WAS IN JAPAN WAY TOO LONG Hiro's (Masi Oka) time-bending adventure in 17th-century Japan — where he mentored samurai hero Takezo Kensei (David Anders) — finally came to an end on Nov. 5. But Kring says it ''should have [lasted] three episodes. We didn't give the audience enough story to justify the time we allotted it.''

YOUNG LOVE STINKS Kring regrets sticking Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with a super-dud boyfriend and forcing Hiro to moon over a cutesy princess. ''I've seen more convincing romances on TV,'' he admits. ''In retrospect, I don't think romance is a natural fit for us.''
