| Yes, i do know personally how long it take to become a teacher.. OK>. I am one.. btt remember this is TV/Soapy land.. stranger things have happened.. Not only that they writers have make it interesting for all of us to challenge each other, back stab or attack each other... so why not Irene could or maybe might end up the Principal ????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? |

| Irene cant be principal bcoz it tkaes 4 years to become a teacher and even after you become a teacher you have to spend a couple more years just teaching before you become principal and 2nd sally isnt comming back so we all jus need to move on | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| High school takes 4 years. And as for the pay..I think you need to talk to some teachers and get their perspective! As for being Principal, what happened with Sally was pretty unrealistic. It takes a lot of years, a lot of promotions to other levels, a lot of out of hours work, and most Principals I know have been in the system for decades before they got there. But, as we all seem to forget, it is soapie land, and characters get jobs without experience and things happen rather more rapidly than in real life! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I thought teaching took 4 years... or is that just for High school? Irene would have to go to Uni to become principal, however with the anti-discrimination stuff, she just needs to do "Human resources Management" at Uni (because she's a female who's taken time off her career to look after Children), she never even has to learn how to be a teacher! That suprised me!!! AND she could come in at a higher pay scale for every 3 years of child rearing... foster children count as well as her own! I discovered that most universities (everyone I contacted)are changing the Dip Ed from one year to two years after this year (it's the bit you tack on the end of your Science or Arts degree to become a teacher in whatever you majored in at uni) My sister is finishing a 4 year combined Science/Teaching degree. Incidently do you guys realise that teachers get paid MORE than Nurses, and they get all the school holidays (although they do spend a lot of time preparing lessons and marking stuff); while nurses (and doctors) get all the shift work and peoples lives depend on them... seems a bit unfair really... I never understood why Doctors are forced to work around the c l o c k sometimes, when everyone needs their 8 hours sleep to function effectively! But Principals get more Pay, but not as much as if they did similar jobs in the private sector! Just a little thing I found out today while looking for some other stuff! not really anything to do with the topic really; but I bet actors get paid more... maybe I should become an actor... Nahhh you have to be funny when your fat; and I'm not funny! LOL |
