| I actually debated about this very concept when I put the original post on the board :) I thought in just using the word actor I had deliberately left 'female actors' out of the equation so therefore used actress as well to show I had included everyone. I suppose as almost all professions have a gender neutral term (e.g. police officer instead of policeman) we should assume the one word includes everyone. Sorry if I offended and hope this post make sense! |

| I know this might come off as annoying or whatever, but did you know the word "actress" is outdated, and people don't use it anymore - or at least they shouldn't. It's traditionally used for women who CAN'T act, "tress" meaning lesser. Just call females actors, like you would men. It probably doesn't seem like a big deal, but the feminists worked hard to stop gender stereotyping! |

| I agree. I would like to see the old credits reinstated where you easily tell who was a permanent character. Also, if I was actor/ actress I would like to see my name appear somewhere on the credits. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
