And also Charlie is a horrible person - She is an awful Role Model to Ruby - Why would Ruby want to look up to someone like Charlie????? She's a cheater and a liar - she isn't able to stand on her own two feet and she is constantly surrounded by drama - Who wants that person to be their mother
//
Charlie is not a horrible person. Shes trying to do the best she can in a difficult situation. Rubys just being a selfish little child playing house with Geoff and treating all those around her like dirt. Rubys all me me me, she should grow up and accept the fact that Charlie is her mother, and that she has diabetes.
Charlie has always been protective of Ruby so not much has changed there, though she should rightfully be more worried now that Rubys been diagnosed with diabetes cos Rubys sure as hell not. Shes too concerned about trying to save face.
Who cares if Charlie has cheated and lied. If you were in that position and it was your mother, would you turn on her just like that too?
People make judgment calls, some work in your favour, some against you. Charlies was a hard one to make and to tell your child at what ever age would be hard for both as they would still have formed attachments to those they believe to be their parents. |

| She was lied to for a good reason lookhow she took it when she found out she was a product of rape. Also Charlie has been the person who has parented her for the past year and sister or mother she should show her some respect Charlie has been nothing but patient with her, and she is too young to deal with diabetes on her own do you think that when Irene gets back she isnt going to be on her back too. Charlie can finally show her maternal side and at the end of the day Ruby will have to get used to the idea at some point that she is her mother. |

I don't blame Ruby, imagine having Charlie as a mother and being lied to for 16 years. Charlie has no right to expect Ruby to just get over it and accept Charlie as her mother. Why should she, Ruby already had a mother and now she is dead. Charlie needs to back off and give Ruby her space to deal with it on her own. Why makes her think that Ruby even watns her to act maternal towards her, Ruby probably just wants her sister back or at least her "real" mother.
Also Charlie is a misreable person, she's a horrible influence on Ruby.
===========
Couldn't agree more - People can't just expect Ruby to be all happy that Charlie is her mother now apart from the huge adjustment - I mean having Charlie as her sister for 16 years and now she's suddenly her mother I can't imagine how confusing and hard that would be - But Charlie has no right to expect anything from Ruby - This wasn't Ruby's fault (Not that it was Charlie's fault that she was raped) But she had a choice to tell her years ago but she lied to her.

SOoooooooooo sick of Ruby. She's become sooooooooo self-centred and am starting to chill out when her scenes are on. All she thinks about is herself !!
She should be glad she has both a mother/sister & father. She needs to get over her attitude to Charlie & appreciate her. |

| Well, even though Ruby did live with Charlie, Ross was her father and main authority figure, Charlie was the older sister. And that's how Ruby saw her. I think she still has trouble accepting Charlie as a mother. |

| Since Charlie and Ruby have been in the bay, Ross has never been Ruby's 'main' parent. Charlie has always been the one looking after and looking out for Ruby, even when Ruby thought Charlie was still her sister. She is only 16 yes, which is why she needs boundaries and direction. |

| Typical teenager, if her Mum didn't show some concern, she would whinge about that. |

| Don't forget that Ross used to be Ruby's main "parent". Now that he's gone, Charlie needs to take full responsibility. And Ruby may be more grown up than teenagers like Xavier or Annie, but she's still a teenager. |

I agree with that but to assert concerns as a sister and then as a mother is totally different.
I'm sure it'll be fine in a few months though and she'll be calling her "mum" and it'll be all rainbows and lollipops. It always is. |

| Charlie's doing the mother thing completely wrong. She comes from being the sister to the overprotective mother in a heartbeat. I don't like Ruby but to be totally honest Charlie's change of roles would bug me too if I was her. |

| i agree, i felt so sorry for charlie.. but i think that she has a right to be mad because geoff was basically controlling her and she had just got him to stop doing that and it can be pretty annoying! |

i agree, i know that if i had a 16 year old daughter i wouldn't be happy with her living with her older boyfriend, alone, especially if she had just found out she had diabetes. I am with Charlie.
Geoff annoys me, last week he was all protective of ruby and annoying her, but now all of a sudden, charlie is the bad guy for being a good mother. |

| Ruby is playing house with Geoff... she isnt really taking her diabetes seriously.... she is only 16..... Charlie was right to move to Irene's. She did what any concerned parent would have done. |

| Charlie is very caring and kind mother, she is so worried about her daugther Rubes, i wish Ruby had more respect for her and appreciated her concerns and support but Ruby just shuts her out and does want her help. she is a bit ungrateful and sometimes unbearable ... any one disagrees? |
