| I agree j.pies, I didn't mean about pregnancy that has been done to bits way to many times whos the father and am i pregnant, but i am wanting them to do more about safe sex, promote it more, as they certainly do not do that. If they had a scare with herpes or soemthing, would bring across the message more. Instead of making teenage pregnancy and raising a baby easier which i doubt it is for a teenager, show post natal depression, how hard it is. They touched on it with Rachel, more who is over anxious and all. I don't remember Shannon with a eating disorder the only one I remember is Mattie. Maybe donig that again would be good, Dont remember with jade either. As i said i m glad that bullying one is one, as it happens everywhere too. I remembe Irene being an alcoholic, and she nearly lost her children over it, as she was a nasty and violent one if I remember and Lou's death pushed her back, and beign alone in jail, didn't help and with Donna. Wonder if she can forgive Donna when she comes back. |

| irene was a big alcoholic when she first came on the show. She stopped drinking and after all that happened wit lou i guess she felt the need to start drinking again. Eating disorders have only been mattie, a tiny bit with jade (kirstys twin) and Shannon they did quite a bit on from memory. As they havent done the storyline for quite a while it would be good for them to do it again. WIth the sti's i was thinking more like one of the teens catches herpes or hep c or something a bit different to pregnency scares. The onlt time they have really covered that was with cassie which was good. |

| Alcoholism in H&A is funny sometimes. Irene's latest stint lastest a week. No one is cured in a week! It has to be realistic and not silly like that. ......................... .............. I agree with some it is washed over quickly, with Belle's precription drug it wasn't. I think Irene's was done a bit quickly but it was over time a bit, in jail she got hooked, hid it at home, then started to go to AA, once she started going to AA, we didn't see it from then on. |

| I am hoping the current bullying one is done well, as they haven't touched on that often, with Jai yes, but with this it is more into it. Cyber bullying would be good too to deal with. I agree j.pies the unsafe sex, Cassie and Hank. But it seems that the message of safe sex in home and away is not encouraged the number of false pregnancies especially with GEoff invovled. the only time was with Ruby and Xavier. I think that should be dealt with more. Eating disorder, we had Mattie but that was about it? |

Also nic touched on the issue of alcoholism. I would prefer to see more bullying, unsafe sex leading to sti or eating disorder storylines before i see another alcohol or other drugs storyline |

| Most alcoholics don't drink 24/7. It fact, that is a physical impossibility. What you are describing is called "binge drinking". Which is different to alcoholism. Most alcoholics don't actually binge drink. Its more a few-several drinks a day, every day. Alcoholism is not drinking 24/7. Believe me, I know what alcoholism is, having grown up with a father who was one. It is NOT what you describe. Home and Away has done alcoholism to death. Very true, and the good well not good but most are good at hiding there problems with alcohol from the people that care about them and love them until it is too late and something happens. I used to work in a RLS club and the number of old guys, many who had been to war, some tht wer way older than they looked they would wait for the club to open at 9.30 in the morning and wouldn't leave until 5.30 or later at night. They made so called friends there, but would drink and drink all day, sometimes, couldn't even get up to go to the toilet. I ended up feeling quite aorry for them, that they waste 7 days a week coming to the club. They would go home and night, but it was more to do with loniliness and having someone to talk to than anything else, but the money they would spend a day on alcohol was amazing and just sitting indoor each day. |

There are many people who have lost one or both of there parents. Some turn to alcohol and others don't. They have recently done the alcohol thing wit Nicole, trying to cope with Belle's death losing her father and all. Going out and partying,, sleepign with Liam. They have done it on home and away with alcohol. It doesn't mean they drink 24/7, someh ide it from the people who care about them, they go out and get drunk at night time and sometimes during the day but not all the time. I think home and away have tackeld the alcholism a few times, lately with Nicole and irene also. irene was a alcoholic for a long time and lost her kids over it from memory. I am glad they are diong the bullying as that affects alot of people in school and on the internet and other things. I hope it portrays it well and not all over dramatised. Bullying is a major factor in many schools today and it seems so far a good topic tht home and away has chosen. |
