| Morning Crikey, I bet Magic will enjoy you farting pig story!! We might be doing the same tomorrow. I am cooking a huge Thanksgiving dinner tonight for all of the Americans we know,(which is 6 - but cooking dinner for 16 OMG). This started because my sons girlfriend is American (from Vermont) and she was saying she would miss Thanksgiving so I heroically (!!??!) said I would put one on. So now I am cooking the biggest Turkey you have ever seen, plus all the trimmings. If you never hear from me again it's because I died of the stress I've put myself under!! But it will be lovely to have all of my children under the same roof again, plus I love parties, eating, drinking and laughing, not to mention hopefully dancing as well. So wish me luck ladies! | hello to all - on a much lighter note - just read about the "farting pig" that farted so much - the fire brigade were rang from various people because of the huge gas/methane smell - apparrently it is a family pet - but has a major farting problem | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

I haven't watched the new (as distinct from the original) star trek, but Mr Spock was my first pin up guy - as a youngster I thought he was so cute - I think it was the ears! |

| Morning everyone. Crikey don't work too hard this arvo., I'm on my days off now so feel fantastic! Tash, enjoy the movie...and cats, what can I say? One of mine decided to sleep on my head fron about 5 this morning sheesh! Very warm here today but a nice cool breeze at the moment so hope that stays. Had a bit of a storm last night but virtually no rain here with it. Hope Jacki is okay today and hope she sees all our messages. |

| Hi girls and yes Crikey, I had an early awakening today! Damn it. My beloved cat woke me at 4.13am!!!!!! I couldn't get back to sleep, so just gave in and got up. I'm feeling a bit tired now (8.50 here) but decided to go and see the movie 2012 at 10am as I'll just be sitting anyway. At least I don't have to go to work anymore in my sleepy state as you poor girls do. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| hiya Crikey I didn't mind William Shatner as Kirk - the squashbuckling captain and so wonderfully politically incorrect....just as he is now in Boston Legal. Loved his character in Boston legal and he had great chemistry with James Spader. My all time favourite captain was Janeway - partly because she was the first woman, but also because I think Kate Mulgrew is an excellent actor. At times she didn't have a lot to work with in Voyager (I mean storylines etc) but she made the best of it. She is currently in Mercy and plays the mother of the main character. Take a nap before you go to work :p |

| hehe - Leonard Nimoy. Spock was a classic. My other favourites are Brent Spiner (Data in TNG) and Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway in Voyager). I also loved Alice Krige's portrayal of the Borg Queen - pure seductive evil. If you're interested, pop onto youtube and search Borg Queen Voyager and you'll see what I mean (http://www.youtube.com/w atch?v=TGaoTfh6Nvo) I didn't really get into the last series called Enterprise and I'm not sure why - Scott Bakula wasn't the greatest captain, but it just didn't seem to have the same feel good feel. |

| Hiya tash - yes I have seen it. Great movie! Always loved Star Trek but I'm not a hardcore trekker. So many facets to ST which is why the franchise has been around for 40 years and now undergoing another incarnation. Sure there is sci-fi etc, but I think the underlying humanity and fact that "good" usually prevails (therefore instilling hope) must appeal at some basic level. Sure the acting isn't always the best and some of the storylines make you want to go 'arrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhh hhhhh", but I always feel good after watching Star Trek. |

| tash - hope you feel better - just remember to keep up the fluids (btw - my PhD was done on a gastro virus....hehehe, so I can quite truthfully say that my PhD is full of s**t!!! rofl). Yes - we have encountered another braindead dweeb in The Apprentice thread. The term's FAIL and EPIC FAIL is currently the "in catch phrases" of internet gamers - so hopefully he will get the point. But tash is right - such morons are hardly worth the effort. Stay cool everyone - I'm off to watch another Star Trek episode (love Star Trek, particularly the Original Series and Voyager Series). |
