| Hiya Crikey, as soon as I bathed Molly she wanted to go back outside in the rain, and now is inside all dry again. It is so lovely just watching it. I think we are warming up again next week, but as you say, just enjoy it while we can. We are over 4,000 posts and did it without too many double posts - whooooo! |

| Hi everyone, Jaybear, hope you can stay cool, is there any sign of a change on the way? Lisa, sounds like you had a great time. Hi Crikey, Tash, Trekk! All homes in Melbourne living in risk areas got this huge list of things to do to be prepared for fires, I am thinking about packing up albums etc, you look around and just wonder. I felt so sorry for the people who lost everything. Our local community had a drive for books/cd's, videos, hard to imagine losing all the things we just take for granted and use everyday. |

| Hi girls and stay cool those of you in the hot zones. SA is lovely and cool now and had a decent rain too. Think our fires are all out now - some were spontaneous combustion I think (haystacks). Hope the fires are contained over there - it's such a worry. Glad you (dancing) girls had a great night! I've been out shopping for a nice good quality top to go with a floaty type black skirt as we have our Volunteers lunch this week, but the clothes are either for teeny boppers or 90 year olds! So darned difficult. Will have to devote tuesday to shopping in town, which I hate. | Scary stuff Jaybear. I live on a bush property which I always thought I would stay and defend in case of a bush fire, but after last years catastrophe in Vic, I have revised my strategy. We realised that we were hopelessly underprepared so have organised ourselves a bit better, but I will leave with our daughter if (or when!) there is a fire. | I'm about 40 mins drive southwest of Sydney so not in real danger of bushfires right here although there's a few smallish grass fires around locally and one national park is about less than 30 mins drive from here..one year we got all the smoke and ash debris from a fire there...I feel so bad for people in real danger from fires and the firefighters....I'm a bit concerned about a huge vacant block behind our complex here as it's become overgrown and there are idiots around this area. Friday it got to about 41 out west, almost that here and a severe thunderstorm about 3pm, no rain to speak of, but 2 houses only a couple of suburbs away were struck by lightning and another house north of the harbour was virtually burnt to the ground from a lightning strike. |

| oh jaybear i am sorry that the dreadful hot conditions have now moved to nsw - yes the bushfire threats are horrible - i work with 2 girls who were severely affected by the 7 feb bushfires down here on feb 7 - one lost her house and all her belongings - the other saw the flames coming at their house - r u right in sydney jaybear or a bit further out?? - | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi you ladies! Yes Lisa it's here in Ssydney now. Our headlines this morning are that this is our worst fire threat in 100 years and there are 66 fires burning in NSW at the moment. Right now it's about 38 in the shade on my patio and a horrible, dangerous hot wind is coming up. It's really awful and I feel for the people near the fires and especially all the firefighters. I'll have to pass on your invitation as I have to go to work in a couple of hours!!! |

| Morning everyone! Sounds like you had a fun night Lisa! I think I danced in my dreams last night haha! Luda is sooo tiny..she's about a foot wide (looking at her face on) and about 4 inches thick! Sorry I still speak the 'old' language! How's the weather for everyone? I am dreading today here..it's okay inside at the moment but outside is awful and it's so cloudy it feels like the sky is a cloak on your shoulders out there. |

| Oh what a fantastic show!!! I'm still dancing!! It was terrific...Luda and Csaba and 2 other couples who've been on previous DWTS whhose names I can't remember right now but they were hot, hot hot!!!!!! What impressed was that it wasn't just Latin dancing although that's what the main 6 did most of the time but they also had most of the instructors and group students from the studio they all teach at...with a variety of styles..disco, ghetto..and these 3 fabulous South American drummers come 'balls on string' players which was magical (dunno the technical term!) plus the most amazing native tap dancing I've seen! Great seats my girlfriend and I had, right in front, centre of the room! All I can say is that I'll be keeping my eye open next year on their studio website because I'll go see them every time they're here at local clubs, best $25 I've spent on a concert that's for sure. We're both going to have spre throats tomorrow because you just couldn't help but get involved so we all screamed and clapped our hands raw hahaa! Didn't see Luke but to be honest, although I'd intended to keep an eye out for him...he faded from my mind..there were too many others to ogle ermmm I mean look at!! |
