Tash, that is a tough one, only you can really know if the friendship is worth continuing. I guess as I have got older and changed a lot of my thinking patterns etc, I have let go of some friends who I find opinioneted and over bearing, I just love to have gentle, caring people around me. We all grow and change, sometimes people aren't meant to stay in our lives for a long time. I don't mean to sound uncaring but I just find loud opinionated people too draining.

Re:where have all the regulars gone Reply to this message
Only the really tame rides magic, as I and my friend are pretty chicken! We watched a quite small boy get off a dreadful looking ride at one park (they turned upside down and just about inside-out). He looked a bit green around the gills, so I asked him how the ride was. he staggered over and said "gee that was great - I'm going on again", which rather staggered us. LOL! You're a very good girl Magic re your lovely calendar. I have to pull my finger out this week and think about gifts etc.

Hey Magic (and others) tell me what you'd do about a dear friend who, apart from being a great person with a good heart, thinks she knows EVERYTHING about any subject that you care to raise, and debates it every time! I'm so frustrated that it's broken up or stalled the friendship a couple of times and I'm on the verge of saying goodbye forever, as I'm very tired!!!!!!!!! Just interested in your responses and opinions girls - thanks

Hi Tash, that is hot, is it humid as well?
You didn't go on any of the rides at all???
Did you you on the boat that takes you the all the animals at the back??? I love the huge water slide, nearly had kittens on the ride up, so darn high, little kids in front of me chatting and laughing, here I am knuckles white from hanging on.
I finished my Sonia calendar yesterday, it came up really well, I had a headline - Sonia's new love and put a picture of her and then scanned a picture of my friend and put him beside her.

Morning guys, I lived in Queensland for a few years, never got used to the heat and humidity.
Dreamworld is wonderful, I loved the rapids ride and yes the tigers, love movie world and sea world, I am a big kid. The gold coast is ruined now.
We have an overcast day here, just cool breeze, lovely, what is your temp today tash????

Crikey I've been to Gold Coast once and visited Dreamworld just to see Tiger Park or whatever and it was worth it as they had tiger cubs just a few wks old (bit bigger than domestic moggy) with huge paws and blue eyes. The tiger show was fantastic with massive white tigers - very impressive. hated Gold Coast though.

I ahven't been there since about '99 either Magic, but there are only 7 apostles out of 12 left now, so figure we better go asap! It's very nice from this end as we travel along the Coorong (pink lakes and all) to Robe, beachport etc and it's just gorgeous.

Re:where have all the regulars gone Reply to this message
I don't like crowds at all. I can only handle them if I am at a theme park, just love going on those rides and getting wet, won't go on the tower of terror or anything that tips me upside down, don't see the point in that at all.

Crikey, we save our gold coins and it is amazing how soon we have enough for an overnighter! You walk in and they have nora jones playing, so serene, you should just go, you would love it. I didn't know vanessa amorosi grew up in emerald, I love the antique shops in olinda and sassafras too. You are right tash, we all have lovely places to visit, the great ocean road is wonderful, haven't been that way for years.

Crikey, I think we all underestimate the beauty of our own states (as evidenced on the state boards!) I love getting out and about here and seeing lovely places and things.

dream on! I'm hoping to do Great Ocean Rd (leisurely) next yr with a couple of friends. We'll just meander and stop at some nice old places like that. Depends on the finances.

Re:where have all the regulars gone Reply to this message
Tash, it is just gorgeous, they have little cabins in the bush, all old world, you can cook your own food, they leave bacon, eggs, juice in the fridge, a fire in the winter, cd's for you to play, they have little balconies you sit on and just let the world go by, you can only hear the birds and of course the puffing billy if it is running.
I haven't worn a coat for so long.

sounds idyllic Magic - just lovely. Love doing things like that - relaxing. Yes, I remember cool days as we had very cool weather not that long ago and I actually wore an overcoat a few days! It will happen again.

Re:where have all the regulars gone Reply to this message
Hi Crikey, wow, you must have had a late night, yeah, much better today but next week we are in for more hot days.
There is a gorgeous place called Glen Harrow behind puffing billy, I have stayed overnight with a couple of girlfriends, just beautiful, we take a quiche, wine, listen to music and just chill out, it is our getaway about once a year.
I love Belgrave, yes the lake is still there, a couple of years ago, I had lunch on the puffing billy and went to the lake (another birthday) I do have this sense of entitlement for my birthdays!

Hi Jaybear, enjoy your lovely breeze, once it gets over 40 it is nasty, I find the hot nights the hardest.
Very quiet here today.

Morning all!!

Hope you're all doing well this Sunday?

Crazy weather here..supposed to be about 30 where I am in Sydney today but it's about 23 with quite a nice strong breeze...I'm not complaining! Tomorrow's meant to be 40 so I'm crossing my fingers that's wrong..I really hope you guys in the continuing extreme heat are coping okay.
