| Hi Jaybear! Nice to hear from you and hope your shift is "bearable" BOOM BOOM! Lucky girl having a good hairdresser. | Hi all...a quick hello from work! Yeah a good hairdresser is hard to find especially sometimes when they go off and have babies and inconsiderate things like that haha! I'm lucky that the woman who has done mine for years now works from home, has a little salon attached to her house and works 4 days a week. About the detox stuff..lemon juice in the warm water is great especially first thing in the morning. The only time I take anything else is on the odd occasion when nothing helps so I see my naturopath who makes up a herbal concoction. Hope you've all had a good day, been not too bad weatherwise today..workwise...we won't got here except to say that before my shift started, the client we're having trouble with ended up at hospital with a split head courtesy of another client...that's what happens when you push and shove just that little bit too much!!!! |

| Lisa, wld you believe, I have tried 6 hairdresers in one st? Main rd near me, plus others as well, and none can cut my hair decently. The girl who has done it for last few yrs used to cut and blow dry in about 15 mins and always said how easy my hair was to cut/style, so don't understand. Must be lots of incompetent h/d's in Adelaide!!! Very annoying indeed. I have a diff one for the colour as she gets it 110% great, but she's lousy at cutting! | Crikey re detox, I agree with Tash. Your body is a good machine and if you eat fairly healthily and drink plenty of water, the body will do its job. If you really want to do something then squeeze some lemon juice into a few of your glasses of water a day. | Hi Tash, I am lucky re hairdressers, two of my best friends are. They are both excellent so now problem here. I've got short hair so do my grey roots 3 times (I can split 1 box hair dye into 3 goes) then get them to dye it all over the 4th time. Have you got any mobile hairdressers in your area? There's probably good hairdressers at home having had children but can't get back to work in a salon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Well Crikey, I definitely would not get into detox! I have to see a gastroenterologist regularly and he stated that the body does not need other substances for the purpose of detox. It's a very cleverly made machine and does it quite well by itself. I believe there can be some nasty side effects, particularly if done regularly. | hey tash - yeah am happy with the colour thanks - ps guys i have been seeing advertised on tv - that rapid detox in 48 hr thing - does anybody know much about that or know the product i am talking about - does anybody know of other good detox methods - i already do drink lost of water - maybe 1 to 2 litres a day - but must confess i like my alco ie white wines - i am not a smoker - and rarely eat red meat - but do have coffee - just wondering | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi Crikey, I'm not sure about the netball bizzo at all. this is just a local club that a Mum got going and not sure at all re the boys, but they do appear every now and again in various teams, but very very uneven competition. Glad you're happy with your hair colour - it makes you feel good when your hair looks good! I'm having major probs finding a new h/dresser as mine moved about a yr ago. | hey tash and lisa - firstly of course no offence lisa - actually love the blonde jokes - and yeah the colour did turn out good - i had gone bit darker last 2 colours but have gone bk to the blonde - more my own colour - as i have fair skin - and tash - i played netball for bt 8 years in my teens - and i have never heard of boyz just coming in as replacements - was that stated in the very first place ie rules that it was a mixed comp - usually - well here in vic - they cut out the mixed thing at bt age 13 i think - which one cld understand - at that age boyz - whether we girls like it or not - just r much stronger than us - and unfort i certainly wldnt want to be kicked, grabbed or knocked over as in the rules of aussie footy - never mind that they lost - i remember one season that we went thru unbeaten always close with one particular team but always managed to just beat them (twice) and at the grandfinal they beat us by a lot - bit like geelong and stkilda hey | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi Lisa, thanks for jokes - LOL!. Yes, apparently boys can be part of the teams. Don't really know why/how. Anyway, our girls will recruit their male pals next week. | How hot is it there guys? we've got about 33 at the moment, but I have got the a/c on low. Grandies netball team got slaughtered 36-14. I'm shocked as they win nearly every game. 4 boys appeared in the other team (it's girls netball!) and it changed the game entirely | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| hi magic - well i just got bk in i just went to jbhi and got a voucher - figure that offers a wide choice - i love jbhi - great variety and very good prices - and they r open for bargaining - am even think of canc my 3.30 hair appt because it is too hot out and i go bt 25 mins away - so cant even be bothered do that - might just get a colour and do it myself - trying to do some ebaying at moment - friend of mine actually makes a good living out of it - so figure may as well gather up some goodies and see what happens - hope all well - just cldnt go for walk today was going to go tomorrow but is even going to be hotter | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hi crikey, it sure is getting hot, I haven't been outside much, I too think of a sea change, would be lovely. The sun baking is so bad, I used to put oil on myself and just bake, how silly is that? I have had a couple of skin cancers off my leg and am so careful now, even bought a big hat which looks stupid but I don't care. I have a dear friend who not only bakes all day when she can, she smokes too, I tell her but can see she gets annoyed so back off, hard to watch. |

| arvo all - phew its a stinker out here already and as u said magic only going to get hotter - have to go out shopping for the present bit later and got a hair appt - but so dont feel like going anywhere - got the a/c on inside already - was supposed to be at work today but swapped shifts with someone who wanted the overtime - so that suited me extremely - just so not enthused but work these days - as i keep saying a seachange is looking good | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Morning everyone! No worries Tash...and sorry you're suffering the effects of sun worshipping...we definitely weren't told the dangers back in those days. I remember my mum used to smother us in good ol' zinc cream! Luckily I was one who really disliked baking in the sun as a teen, used to give me headaches so I decided to heck with everyone else, I wasn't going to suffer those just because my friends wanted to bake...but I do have a friend from those days who is the same age as me and really has suffered now, it's too bad we weren't more aware in those days. But yes...today's kids are very blase about it. |

| thing is Magic, I'm 64 now and we didn't know about the dangers yrs ago. I'm relatively fair and actually worked outside for some yrs and so have ended up with pretty bad pigmentation, which I had lasered yrs ago (great), but, of course it rtns over the yrs, but it's the health side of it now that's concerning.
