| Thank you everyone for your help - we are going to contact some manufacturers and actually get them made to measure. It will be costly but the only way he can get shoes. |

Yes, Lisa, you're right, the UK and US are different sizes to ours but if they contact that site, it could be worked out because if they professional they will certainly have a conversion for different countries.
You know, it's not 'til someone enquires like this today that we realise how difficult it must be for some people to buy appropriate needs if they are slightly our of regular sizes. |

| Hi Lynda, I couldnn't be much help, my supplier says you need specialised dance shoes so I think Cheeky is on the right track. One thing though, I think maybe US sizes in mens shoes could be different to AUS sizes so that could help, I hope so. Anyway good luck and I hope there has been some help here for you today. Cheers! |

The Supadance and all of the other major ones are only made 'til size 12.
This company is in the US and makes up to a 14-15 in some styles. You won't get anything in 16 and will have to have them made.
This is the US company ...

Click thru the links to find the style and maybe email them to see if they can be made bigger.
Good luck! |

Lynda what state are you in? I'm really starting to think you're going to have to have them made to measure so that you get the correct width required as well. He will only need 1 pair for starters so it's worth the investment. There is someone in Sydney (around back streets of Paddington) who still hand crafts shoes. A lot of brides go there.
Otherwise, yes, a pair he already has and get them re-soled. Just keep checking back and we'll post more info here when we find out for sure.
A shame there is not more guys here to help out :-( |

| Another thought..... as an interim measure if your son has a comfortable pair of soft leather shoes you could have the bootmaker/repairer put a suede sole on them. They would have to be very soft and supple shoes tho |

| Surprisingly no one who makes dance shoes the only suggestion we have had is that he gets a template made of his foot ($250+) and then gets his shoes made from there. |

| Does anyone know where I can get a pair of dance shoes made in a size 16. My son has taken up ball room dancing and he is 6'10". He loves dancing. We have tried everywhere and no one makes anything over a size 13 |
