Hi everyone and hope all those in heatwaves are surviving. LISA, great that your Mum will soon be finished her treatment - good on her. It's not an easy process I know. I've found (per family experience) that the patients are always the brave souls and try to comfort the family. Amazing the human spirit.

magic - I don't mind the heat too much...as long as I can find a reasonably cool spot to cool off at times.

Today was about 39C and the next 3 days will be 38+, so I'm sitting here planning my tv viewing for the next few days...hehe. It's 1.30am and still 26C outside.

Hey everyone, how's it going? Hot? we hit high 20's but very humid, so expecting good rains tomoz - can't wait as lawn now a nice tan colour! It always greens up again in autumn though. I've vowed to stay away from the Boomers thread as it's just going on ad infinitum and we'll never get through to someone with a mindset like that. I'll beeeeeeeehave now, but don't know about you lot!

Crikey, I'm clearing the landing pad as we speak, but I hope the kids don't worry too much about it eating into their inheritance - bloody hell I could be in trouble there - they might not visit me when I am old and punish me for actually enjoying myself with MY OWN MONEY. Nevertheless, I can promise you some lovely Chardonay - the best in the world I reckon, and it will be my pleasure to share it with you! xx

Hi Crikey and Magic. I wish I didn't come to tears so easily - not that I cry for myself but I do tear up quite a bit for other things, especially happy things, I'm a bit pathetic really. But I also laugh very easily too, and so what!! I figure I FEEL things, and that is what is great about being alive I reckon! Plenty of time not to feel anything when I'm dead! Talk about timing Magic, funny how friends can go in and out but can I put it on record that I am enjoying my time with you guys! xx

hi everyone, hi crikey, I am sure people come into our lives at exactly the right time. I find friends more compassionate than family. Tears come to me very easily and yes, there are a lot of caring people out there for sure.
How hot is it tonight????

hey all - oh tash - being silly again - i dont want to keep my tears - u know wot i am not a real cryeee person - but i do get tears when its worth it!! - u can go along for days, months and no tears and all of a sudden someone/somebody will say something that really touches home and sometimes u just cant help tears coming - in a way i value that - sounds funny hey - but it makes me aware that there are caring people out there!!

Crikey! You're welcome! Talking about tears, I remember in an old movie called Quo Vadis (big biblical epic) that Nero cried a lot, and he had a little glass tube to catch his tears in!
