It has even made the news here - probably due to Kym being Australian, as they don't usually publish the winner from o/s series. Will have to check out some of the links, been too busy but glad Donny won. Just finished reading Marie's book this week (which I couldn't put down, great read) and her stories about her experience on the show are very funny.

Hi Phoebe, we missed you! Thanks for the info re Mya. In our DWTS they are not allowed to have had previous dance experience, so I'd assumed that the US DWTS was the same.

Sorry I haven't been around to post I've been super busy & I've been under the weather. But Mya does have previous dance experience. She's had years of tap & jazz & trained under reknown dancer Savion Glover. She's also been a choreographer as well. Google her & you will read about her experience.

Didn't Mya have great leg extension? It's hard to bleieve that she doesn't have previous dance experience.

Mya and Dimitry's Argentine Tango. Very impressed, but still not as good Gilles'. I doubt any star will ever beat Gilles in that dance.

Nice Argentine Tango, but not as good as Gilles Marini's (last series). Donny could win this if he continues to dance like this, with the help of his fans, but I still think Mya is clearly the best dancer.

If he wins, I will be more than happy for Kym!

I never had a chance of following the Osmonds as having older brother who liked Deep Purple, Status Quo, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Slade, meant I hardly ever had the chance to put my choices on the turntable.... :-)

Don't know if Donny uses botox or not Cheeky...all of the Osmonds look pretty darn good for their ages...I reckon it might be in their genes and healthy lifestyles...and as for money...well just a few years ago they were broke as could be and had to find a way of making money to pay off their debt....hence their reunion tour.....which Jimmy put together I believe.

Rosy re Aaron & Karina ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkWaZdw_tZs

I don’t like this routine at all. It’s lacking any basic lambada.

Looks like a circus act on Cirque du Soleil and how she didn’t dislocate a shoulder at the end, I don’t know (maybe she did).

His outfit is wrong too with the all white and shirt tucked in and belt too. It's too contrived.

I’m getting really picky here but I think he should have put a dark rinse in his hair, lol.

Just something to darken it up for this routine and it washes out in a few washes. It’s just not believable at all (buy hey I don't dance lambada).

I don’t know how Gilles would have gone with this one if they included it last year. He is too way classy for this sort of dance but then again, he did have exceptional charactisation.

Yes, Jaybear I suspect you're right about swear and wiki usually right. Maybe we have a medico here on the boards that can elaborate.

I don't mind if Donny wins as Kym has paid her dues over there :-)

Re:Dancing With the Stars USA - Series 9 Reply to this message
Not wanting to upset the applecart here but sweating is purely an individual thing and everyone is different. See this exerpt from Wikipedia:
Reasons Some Sweat More
Sweating is your body's way of cooling itself off. And everyone has a different sweating pattern. How much you sweat is affected by gender, genetics, age, fitness level, and environment.

Humans can have between 2 and 4 million sweat glands - it all depends on what you're born with. The more you have, the more you'll sweat.

Women tend to sweat less because they are better able to regulate the amount of water they're losing. They also begin to sweat at higher temperatures compared to men.

Fit people sweat more efficiently by sweating sooner in their workout, when their body temperature is lower. However, a sedentary person doing the same intensity workout as a fit one will get hot a lot faster and possibly will sweat more.

Overweight people sweat more profusely than normal weight individuals because fat acts as an insulator that raises their core temperature.

So a little unfair to say someone sweats purely because they're unfit..also if someone doesn't sweat at all there's something wrong unless they've had those particular glands removed..which is possible but not the norm.

Geez cheeky..you're a bit tuff on Donny. Donny looks gorgeous all the time...even if he is sweating and at 51 I'd say he is in pretty good shape.

I'm doing all the work tonight with no help :-(
I found Aaron & Karina lambada. Karina VERY flexible!http://www.youtu be.com/watch?v=gkWaZdw_tZ s

Thanks for all your hard work getting the links CCC! I'll try and help more next week. I've been a bit distracted by mu first dance lesson! the host has really got a witty, dry sense of humour! He made me laugh when he said that Aaron and Karina's Lambada "Was on spin cycle all the way though!" Even Len amazed me when he said "Not enough raunch!" As usual Bruno was hilarious when he told Aaron that "The character of the Lambada is Gilles Marini!" The judges scored Aaron and Karina very low didn't they?
