Tasma certainly doesn't suit the role and iqaluitdi, I agree - she would make a better serial killer than profiler....lol.

tash - I don't like her acting in this show at all and yes, agree that they could remove the profiler role. Forensic path would fit in more as it's more versatile.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
Trekker, I agree that she is scary. It's her eyes. I actually laughed in the beginning of the season when she was counselling Simon.I certainly would't be comfortable talking to her. She'd make a great serial killer.

I also don't think they need a profiler that often. They're usually used mainly for serial killer cases so once or twice a season should be it.

I would rather have had the coroner featured more if they wanted extra cast. She's funny and they'd have a reason to use her every case. lol dead bodies!

And what about our tekkie from last season? We never see him. Surely he'd be used in such a unit more than a profiler.

I have nothing against the actress but this role is definitely not for her.

I'm in the minority here as I just don't like her acting. Trek, don't think the profiler character is needed at all??

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
I think Tasma doesn't fit the role. I loved her as Dash in Blue Heelers but she doesn't come across as believable in the role of the profiler.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
tash - I'd love to see more of Noni too and agree about the profiler...it doesn't seem to fit very well (plus Tasma is .....scarey....lol). Maybe they should have gone with a forensic pathologist instead - there have been both male (Gil Tucker??) and a female ones featured so far and I think they both fitted in better than the profiler.

Having said that, I can't decide if the profiler doesn't work because Tasma doesn't suit the role, or the role doesn't fit in the show well.

Agree Trek, he adds some interest to the mix, but Noni's character is not worth the space. Same with the profiler - just doesn't fit somehow. I must say i don't mind the new d's

Trekker, I agree with you about Jarvis. I think he's great and I always get a big laugh out of the things he says. I hope we still see him from time to time after Wolfie comes back.

I haven't warmed to the new female detective(I've forgotten her name).
I too would prefer we went back to the original cast: Simon, Duncan, Matt, Jennifer, Stanley, Bernice.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
froddo - I don't agree with you about Terry Jarvis. I love his character - typical older style hard core cop who thinks like a criminal....afterall, what better way to catch a crim. I understand police officers and criminals often think alike - the only difference is they have difference sences of morality and are thus on different sides of the law.

I loved the episode involving the racing industry - not only did Terry catch the killer but he also managed to get a hot tip for the race!

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
I'm pretty sure most of the cast would have other commitments from time to time also, thus they leave the show for awhile. I don't mind the mix at the moment as every character (except Tasma's) fits.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
I know Aaron had time off at the end of last season to do the second series of The Circuit but they brought him back for only one ep and had him on leave again.

I also understand they needed new people with Nadine on leave too but the new ones should not be overshadowing the original cast now that all are back.

They are giving the actors scheduled time off from a gruelling series, hence Wolfe's leave at the moment too, but while they are back they should be used. Have the new people take more of a back seat and give us back the Musketeers!

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
I totally agree , the profiler is a waist of space , Jarvis is better placed as the rat in the sewer and Stanley must come back real soon because Clipboard Waverly just doesnt cut her position .

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
Nadine was a nursing mother and had her son with her at the studio, but out on location is no place for a very young baby, so 'Jen' has been confined to the office since her return. However, she seems to be back in the action this week.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
Yes, Nadine (Jen) went on maternity leave which is why we didn't see her for a while. She is back now but we are still not seeing much of her other than in the office looking up stuff on the computer. Unless I've missed something, it has not been explained why Jen isn't doing much active policing anymore. Why isn't she out in the field?

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
this is a result of casting issues. nadine is going on maternity leave, noni had a stage production, shane went overseas and Aaron all took long periods off. and daniel leaves at the end of the season so they needed replacements. but this week it seemed all the characters on period overlapped so yes it was very crowded.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
I agree. I would like to see the show back the way it was in the beginning. The recent episodes seem to give the new characters a lot more air time than the original ones and I don't think that's fair. Jen hardly ever gets a scene now and not only that, she hardly ever gets out of the office!

I also think that the profiler character is completely unnecessary. Profilers are usually only brought in when there's a serial killer and the cops need some proifessional help to get inside his head. How many serial killers have they pursued in City Homicide? It seems to me that she is brought in to give her insights into the perpetrator of any old murder, which I think is ridiculous. How can you profile a killer on the basis of just one murder?

I loved this show up until this season and I'm liking it less and less now. Gosh, I can't even tell you the names of either of the new detectives, or the profiler. That's how much they've impressed me...NOT.

I'm looking forward to seeing Stanley Wolfe come back but I must admit I've enjoyed having Jarvis around. He makes me laugh and I think he adds a bit of spice to the show. I enjoyed the exchanges between him and Wolfe when he was doing Bernice Waverly's job and I'd be happy for him to stay and for her to take a hike. Frankly, she leaves me cold.

Re:Too many people Reply to this message
Yes, especially when you consider that the first season they couldn't keep Jenn when Duncan got back as that was too many D's. They were only allowed three. Now they have 6!

I agree. When they're all together in a room, including the lady boss, there's about 8 of them!

It looks way too crowded.

Too many people Reply to this message
I find there's just too many people in the cast now and we hardly get to see the fab four. They brought in two new D'd but they have that psychologist person too stealing screen time from the group. It's just not the same show anymore. They should send her packing when Si leaves, bring Wolfe back and send Jarvis off for a vaca. I want more Duncan, Jenn and Matt!
