| Of course they have to get the audience familiar with the character who dies - it's one of the ways you increase the drama and the audience's investment in the welfare and rescue of the person involved. I was proud of them for not whimping out and actually showing the tragic result that is far too often the likely outcome of something like this. I doubt it had anything to do with the actor having other commitments - he's hardly well-known enough and if they simply wanted him off the show they could easily have shipped him off to a college interstate or to visit an Aunty or something. Good writers have stories planned a long way ahead and I'd say that's what happened here. It's sad to see the actor go but I think they did a superb job in this story line. |

| I was really shocked by this episode, why did the script writers feel the need to kill him, we had only every seen him a handful of times since the show started & if they no longer wanted him to be in it they could easily have just shown' Bernice' at work & he would not have been missed but to kill him, I just think it was not necessary ;( | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Whoever that was acting the part of the bad guy did a fantastic job. He didn't overplay it and even managed to evoke a feeling of ordinariness and humanity about the character at times - even though he was being quite insanely homicidal. | Yes definitly WOW! Such a heartbreaking epdisode and Noni Hazlehurst was a stand out, I couldnt believe that Josh died, i was hoping he would wake up but he didnt! :( Great way to end the season and can't wait until the next to start later on this year:) |
