| it really doesn't matter what they look like. i like chrislyn, because she is big, and yes she can sing. my god she has a brilliant voice. and i believe darren hayes called her "sexy". well she is sexy. but as someone said before she may not win due to her size. but that's fact of life. people judge, on presentation..and they see the money rolling in from the winner.....i also like rashani, she also has an amazing voice, and i can see she'll win cause she also is thin and likes to show off her nicely shaped legs....but hey at least they got the guts to get-up-and-have-a-go, we are all sitting at home watching t.v and being so judgmental and critasising the one's with guts...cassy donavan was fat with a big strong georgeous voice and she did make a few albums. but she faded out like candle. she only got as far as she did cause of her past and people felt sorry for her. she never made it on talent... | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| People if you knew Chrislyn you would know she girl has more talent than she is giving us on Idol. Her whole school is behind her and she has heaps of fans because she is great as a singer and as aperson. She was the only one who gave the others dring the finals picking of the top 12 a cuddle and helped them over the sad time of not being choisen. So please get off her back but if you wish to vote do so if not don't she will be fine and that's what matters. | She was better last night, I will agree, but I still don't like her. It's probably to do with the fact that she had a kind of a "leg up" from Darren Hayes and all that publicity. Then when she sang, eeekkkkkkk, it was totally horrible. I still don't think she has the personality to be an Idol, sorry. I'm not trying to use her hair colour against her, nor am I trying to insult her. I just see her as another bleached blonde amongst all the others. And as for saying Chrislyn has an advantage because of her size, don't you listen to Roshani, she can belt out too, and she is petite! Sophie is just an ordinary singer to ME. To others she isn't. I also happen to think Luke is ordinary. Neither of them do a thing for me. I will say it was good to see Sophie without the black leather and heavy eye makeup. |

| is there anything ordinary about her? why dont you think about the meaning of that word, although i know its a bit harder than star note: below is also your opinion, and that doesnt mean you are right. I would like to say that i think Sophie is amazing. Her hair colour has nothing to do with her personality, and the fact that you are trying to use that against her, clearly shows you have run out of ways to insult her If you ever listen to more obscure radio stations like triple j, you would know that having the best voice is not what its about. Yes Chrislyn has a great voice, however her size is her advantge there, making her able to breath more due to the size of lung capacity. Some of the best Musicians of all time didn't have the best voice, what they had was a way of making people feel. Bob Dylan much. That type of music is back! have you not noticed?? Unless you of course listen to people like Jordin Sparkes and Leona Lewis all the time, (who were tv show winners) and yes they can sing, but how many times can we hear that terrible beat, and the soul searching ballad. It shame you cannot see real talent. Take a look at the way she structures things, and the way she makes it her own. And think about what she could do with something of her own words, passion and musical ability. I love you Sophie. Your beautiful |

| as far as her 'mass appeal' your talking about, your right she does have that, but it is because she is a star!, ------------------------- ------------------------- ------------- She's not a star, she's just as unknown as the other eleven. If you mean she has star appeal, that's different (while it's your opinion). Stars are people who have paid their dues the hard way and are established. Right now she is just another ordinary bleach blonde with an ordinary voice. |

| Do have a life das...thankyou for your concern though. My comment was in regards to her singing....it isn't my style.....and I like a large range of genres from pop to opera. Thing is....there are already singers around of a similar appeal. Will another one of the same make it? |

Sophie is the most beautiful person!, inside and out, you must all be deaf because she has the most amazing voice I have ever heard.. as far as her 'mass appeal' your talking about, your right she does have that, but it is because she is a star!, she has the look, the voice and the personality!.. hence why the judges only ever have fantastic things to say to her!. |

| No Gwenda, lol, I don't at all, I think also I'm annoyed about her having a kind of a leg up from Dicko, in a round a bout way, because of the London connection. They kept going on about it, and it made me irritated. I suppose they needed more girls to balance the group. I'm also sad that James didn't get through, I think he was nice, although he is maybe too old, and not enough appeal. After all, what is happening here, is they are producing for teenyboppers. It does have a very plastic feel overall. I remember my son saying years ago, before I ever watched the show, that it is no place for real songwriters. The Idol is 'produced'. Having said that, I love hearing all these new voices we have hidden in Australia! While I love the likes of Chrislyn, does she really have a chance of winning, because of appearance? Doubtful. Sad, but that's the reality. She has a much better voice and is able to converse with people better than Sophie, but unfortunately Sophie appeals to the masses more, appearance wise. Chrislyn I am betting will also be able to sing a variety of songs, whereas all I have heard from Sophie are three songs that were very similar: that irritating breathy style! NO THANKS! But it's all good, I just mute the tv when she sings from now on :D |
