| I've never heard of the bloke they've brought in to replace Kyle. Jay Dee someone who does something-or-other for Sony and had something to do with that Girl Band show thing. LOL They must have been struggling to find someone to take it on so they straw-polled the office staff. Oh and it was Ian Moss I was thinking of in my earlier post about the guest artist on Idol one year. Lovely man. |

| Inclined to agree with you there, Coach. I'd never been able to see Idol till last year. I was quite prepared to really dislike Kyle, having heard all the reports about him. Instead, I found him refreshing, and I really liked him. I have a friend in her early sixties, who doesn't stand for too much bs, and she's very disappointed with the outcome of this incident. We will both miss Kyle this season. I'd like to know why the mother allowed this to take place. I think the lights are on, but no one is home, personally. |

| diamonte - I thought Kyle was the better of the three judges - he is a complex bloke but he did try to connect with the contestants on a realistic level and was developing quite a soft side. He didn't deserve what has happened after that radio "stunt". I have now learnt it wasn't live at all - it was pre-recorded and APPROVED for airing by someone other than Kyle. Seems the real culprits (including the girls mother and radio station decision-makers) are getting away with it while everyone kicks the c.r.a.p. out of Kyle - and Jackie to a lesser extent. |

| I liked Kyle on Idol. Actually, I am really p****d off about what has happened with him and Jackie BimbO. However, the show must go on. Anyway, John Farnham might be okay, but would he be a little too soft on the contestants? Kate's not a bad suggestion, either. I wouldn't mind if they dragged Molly into it. | I think it would be great if the new judge is a noted singer and also someone who can say what they think about a performer without having to resort to rudeness! A few suggestions being: Kate Cebrano and John Farnham ( as suggested by others) Delta Goodrem, Brian Mcfadden, Darren Hayes, Jimmy Barnes, David Cambell, etc. I'm sure that they could find someone who can be honest , knowledgeble, on the point, non confrontationable to do the job! |

She just seemed as reasonable a choice as any - including Marcia Hinez who I'm also not a fan of and have never understood why she was so popular. Anyway - like I said. Just threw it in there as a suggestion. |

| john foreman. he knows his stuff and is a professional talent spotter. and he is familliar to the idol scene, people like him, and his personality is a healthy contrast to dicko. i don't know why they would consider anyone else. |

And who was that nice ozzie bloke they had on as a guest performer one series who got some of the idol contestants to sing with him. Sorry I've forgotten who it was - he's a legend in Aussie music tho. I think it was the series that had Matt Corby and Benji in it. He might be good. |
