| I taped last Sunday night's so I can fast forward all the bad ones, gee I did alot of fast forwarding. Most years you could pick who was going to be the winner way ahead of time but this year, I have no idea. |

| I stopped watching Australian Idol about a year or so ago. It's just boring. They add 'extra things' to get people to watch again but it makes it worse. Look at what happened to Big Brother. Big Brother has been off air for a year now and everyone wants it back on lol I think Australian Idol should do the same. Take it off the air for a few years then bring it back. | It is one of the worst shows on television & needs to go! It encouraged a freakfest of tossers to go on it and watch it! Only a brainless loony would watch such low life utter rubbish! As for these 'stars' that are supposly created from it.......I dont see them crashing the international charts! They dont even last beyond the last episode of that stupid show! All those freaks need to haunt their local bogan kareoke bar and not afflict the rest of us with their cr@ppy talenless whining! Time to get out the axe on this rubbish & all those poofy dancing shows too! |

| omniboi, are you are one of the minority of people who like seeing others humiliated? Most people actually feel the shame of the humiliated person when they see it happening. Nothing useful comes of publicly shaming someone and I will bet that many of those young people who are mortified in front of Australia will have some quite terrible feelings afterwards, some for only a short time, some for quite a long time. What right do rich people (the station owners, the advertisers, maybe also the judges) have to do this, just to make money? Thankyou Marcia for never being seduced by this crassness and cruelty, for always treating people with dignity, while still being honest. |

| I watched about half an hour of this first episode. They showed so many people who could not sing, but even worse they showed three men, judges all,and smirking and making sport of these people. We flicked through the channels numerous times trying to avoid this stuff and hoping to come back and see inspiring people singing. But alas, they showed two singers who went through and ten who made us cringe for their humiliation What is wrong with the TV executives that they thing this is what we want to see? I love the singers, I love how they inspire us, but this cruel mean-spirited style of judgement has to go. Brian Mcfadden is a snickering fool. I hope never to see him again by the way. I will return again when the top 20 starts. I'll give it one last try then. I hope channel ten wakes up and realizes we love being inspired, we love to have our hearts opened, we don't really enjoy seeing people totally humiliated by grown men who misuse the power they have over young hopeful people. |

| Same Old, Same Old. For the last 50 years commercial TV has treated its audience with contempt and pushed this rubbish down our throats, Idle, dancing with who gives a, big brother. Auntie is now light years ahead with creative programming and original ideas, thank goodness there is at least one channel worth watching. |

The reality show was a good concept in the beginning, but now there and idol is getting to be predictable.
