| The candelabra task was hilarious! When he kept saying that he didn't know what a candelabra was and then he asked the poor guy sitting at the table 'are you a candle-a-bra?' So funny!!! |

I actually find one of the people in each of the remaining teams annoying.
I find Brian's wife annoying in that team (I've forgotten her name). She stresses out and crys all the time and as the shorter of the Globetrotters said a few episodes back constantly shouts Briiiaaaaaaaaaannn! which is very annoying.
I find the woman in the blonde team who are dating but look very very similar and could well be brother and sister, extremely annoying as well. She also similar to Brian's wife just stresses out over minor things too, especially at detours.
I don't like Dan of the brothers team, his performance on the sidelines at tasks like the hay bails pretty much sums up why.
Big Easy in the globetrotters is a bit up himself too much for my liking, but I don't dislike him as much as the other three.
I think Brian's team will be the next to go, they seem to be a lot less competant than the other three.
Out of the other contestants I like the shorter Globetrotter the most, he seems like a cool guy to hang out with, the brother who did the hay bails task also seems like a nice guy so I'd like to see one of these two teams win. |

I felt sorry for the Dad and son who got voted off!!
The hay challenge was REALLY difficult-but being last to arrive was a advantage as less bales to choose from.I find the married couple VERY irritating!! I am hoping anyone but the married couple win!! |

Yeah the hay task is just pure chance, you wonder why they brought this one back from the past as it's not that entertaining either. They seem to be including more and more opportunities for teams that are a long way behind to still be in it. I guess withthe hay bailes maybe they want to see how the contestants react in a stressful environment and I guess we saw one of the brothers true colours in that one.
The volleyball was just mud, I think it would have been kind of fun, although if I was in the race I would have picked to do that one too, with viewer hindsight I think the slingshot detour would have been a lot quicker.
The speedbump wasn't much either, a task that only takes 5 minutes to do, all all you have to do is sit beside and talk to a hot Estoinian blonde in sauna, didn't really see the point of that, not much of a penalty for arriving last at the mat in Sweden. |

I agree, the globe trotters looked hilarious in their outfits!!!!
I noticed too that there are no "scheming" types of contestants or contreversial ones but I do find it refreshing that they all seem to get on well and even help each other!! As for the advertising of the show, and letting out bits of info. which are either twisted to look like something else I do find them very annoying but unfortunately it is happenning all over the different shows!! How many times do we see dramas advertising one of their main characters is going to die!! I'd rather it was a surprise I didnt see coming and in a way it is a sad indictement of the human race that they have to advertise we will see a death!! |

I agree james, it's idiotic to keep giving away the important bits of a show. You can throw in teasers without giving away what actually happens. People stop bothering to watch when you do that.
And yes, they do seem to have a lot of whimps in the show this year. Seriously, what was so hard about playing golf or putting a bit more effort into hitting the bell??? Sad stuff.
Where's the drama in this season??? I havent seen anyone hating anyone else or plotting their downfall or whatever. It's a very odd series.
Loved the globetrotters doing Dutch dancing LMAO |

Seems to be the Steve Bradbury Olympic Gold type season for teams in the Amazing Race. With the poker girls struggling with both detour options and quitting the detour task let the couple who almost gave up themselves (well not both just the wife) at the bell tower and with the worst performance probably ever on a leg remain in the race. So far three teams have fallen over (guys lost passports) (pathetic refusal to go down waterslide) and let another team that looked like going home stay in the race. I wonder if there will be any more before the mat in America.
I do wish 7 would stop giving away spoilers (granted exagerated and misleading spoilers mostly but still spoilers none the less) in their advertisements for the coming week. Luckily it could have been two teams who looked like they might be the quiters in this episode. Episodes and the show can be promoted without giving away events near the check in mat or end of episode. |

'Mika threw us the alley-oop, she was running point and we just slam dunked it.'
They were only talking about Mika then. |

That phrase we slam dunked it, we did it good was in realtion to thier comeback in the whole second half of that leg after being in last place at the watch briefcase thing where they said they would do whatever it took to not get eliminated from the race. It wasn't a comment made about the girl at the waterslide.
Every season has had a task where something high has had to be jumped off, bungee jumped off or repelled down or something similar by both of the team mates somewhere in the race. Each race has also had a task where both contestants have had to do something that involved being in water. The fact that she didn't bother to go and experience a few of these things before the race and get a better handle on her irrational fear is no one's fault or stupidity other than her own.
I think actually if the boyfriend had taken her away from the top of the slide for a few moments, where she was just paronoid he was going to push her over the edge, (wether that is walk her down all the way of not) and let her calm down a bit then said look where it comes out, look how slow you come out, see there's a lifeguard right there you won't drown, then she might have pulled herself together a bit and been prepared to just go to the edge sit down shut her eyes and wait to be pushed by him or the attendant. I don't think she ever would have had the nerve to push herself but I think the boyfriend if he had handled her better would have maybe got her to go over with a push. They were obviously there for a while and there would have been time to do this before the globetrotters arrived. Also even though they were likely in last place, even after the globatrotters had gone past, they still weren't out of it if she went down the slide if a team in front had been penalised for not following instructions somewhere earlier in the race and was sitting out a two hour or more penalty at the mat. |

| I think that even if Mika had made it down the slide, once the globe trotters had got up to the top with them , they would of had no chance of out running them to the pit stop anyway. |

They say don't do it, it's high, it's a long way up here, don't hurt yourself baby. The definition of bullying is the act of intimidating a weaker person.
The praise afterwards - 'we slam dunked it', 'we did it good'. |

The thing is that by walking her down the stairs again I would highly doubt she'd go back up and attempt the slide again, and that's what the guys were hoping for. That way even if she and Canaan made it to the pitstop before the guys they'd receive a time penalty for not completing the task and the guys would've no doubt arrived before the time was over.
That's still not excusing the way they spoke to her. She was terrified and they were making her worse. I believe they should've just waited the two minutes - just the fact they were waiting behind her and the fact that she had only two minutes to go down the slide would've pushed her the other way anyway.
Having said all that, I do agree that if she's so fearful of situations like this then maybe she shouldn't have auditioned for TAR. There are tasks like this in every series so obviously she was going to come up against one that she would probably be unable to complete. |

Kaboodlesnitcher, everyone is going to have different opinons on things, just because they disagree with you does not make these people's opinions disgraceful.
If you go back and watch it again the globetrotters actually offered to walk down the stairs with her, something I would point out her boyfriend didn't offer to do. They didn't bully her at all. Name one thing they actually said that was bullying her. Sure they didn't try and convince her to go down the slide but why should they? When the globetrotters were struggling to read the face of a watch earlier in the day the two teams were together and the globetrotters were obviously unfamiliar with the watch being it wasnt digital. She did not offer any advice such as guys you do realise there's only 60 minutes in an hour so the 75 your so sure about?, She didn't support them when they were a bit stressed with that sitation so why should they have her.
Her boyfriend after the globetrotters had gone down the slide was the one who slamed the wall beside the slide, said something nasty to her and jumped down the slide. You can understand why he did but you can't blame the golbetrotters for his actions or the fact she didn't go down the slide. They never trashtalked her or praised each other for trash talking her either.
The globetrotters are the team who have always shown respect to the locals in the street and the ones at each detour activity. They haven't snatched a clue, smashed something in a fit of rage, or called the local they are interacting with stupid. That's why I'm going for them and hope they win! :) |

i have lost all respect for the globe trotters
especially after they kept bullying Mika after Canaan told them not to
what would their dead friend who they are supposedly running the race for think if they knew they were bullying a distressed girl who is younger than them for no apparent reason; it was totally unnecessary
and as if they even need $1,000,000 they're professional basketball players
i dont think any team should tell another team how to run their race
and hey at least mika and canaan can row a boat properly and tell the time |

Yes, I thought it was rude and mean of the Globetrotters, but they can't just stand around until Mika decides to go. They shouldn't have been praising each other for how well they trashed talked her. The phrase treat others as you would like to be treated comes to mind.
Although I think that they would have won the footrace to the mat even if Mika did go down once they arrived.
I didn't like how Canaan tried to drag her onto the slide - I think it just freaked her out even more. |

Regardless of what her name was, the two basketballers were r soles, and the two comments supporting their actions are just as disgraceful.
The basketballers should have just stfu and awaited the two minutes.
BTW - although I have a fear of heights too, the minute those barstools turned up - I'd have been down that slide just to spite the mongrels. |

Her name is Mika not Kira.
I don't think the Globetrotters were out of line. I would have done the same thing escpecially as they were racing for last place and I am pretty sure both teams knew this. Having said that I think their actions were unnecessary as others have said they only had to wait 2 minutes and she probley would not have gone down in that time anyway.
By the time they got there I was so sick of Mika's whinging about a water slide that would have taken 2 seconds to go down that I wanted the team eliminated. One of the points of the race is for people to face their fears and rise above them this is why they give teams challengers like sky diving and bungee junping etc. I am not scared of heights but if I was on the race and was asked to sky dive or bungee jump I would have a few moments of fear but going down a water slide would not scare me in the slighest. It looked fun. Actually I would be more scared if they wanted me to sing karoke they jumpout of a plane.
Seriously if you are that scared of heights that you can't go down a water slide (or up a tall building withour crying like last week) then you should not even audition for the amazing race because they always have challengers involving heights seeing as this is one of the biggest fears of people. |

I have no problems with the Harlam guys actions at the waterslide, it's a race, you do what you need to win. Kira's fears were irrational. All they were saying anyway was don't do it, I wouldn't if I was you, they didn't say anything disgusting. What were they supposed to do? Help convince her to go down the slide, the boyfriend in his two minutes could then wait for her to get out of the pool and stand beside the clue box, then go down himself and they've then got a big headstart on the Harlem guys to the mat which no doubt the boyfriend would have noticed exactly where it was from the amount of time he had up there to look around while she was throwing her tantrums.
The Harlem guys were actually supporting the decision Kira was chosing to make. It should have been the wake up call Kira needed. If their comments and then her boyfriend yelling abuse at them (obviously using them as outlet for the frustrations he couldn't really yell at at her) weren't motivation enough to get Kira to stop acting like she was and just go down the slide then nothing was going to work.
She probably ended their relationship. Every time he looks at her now all he'd see is the person who may have cost him half a million dollars, just because she didn't want to go down a safe waterslide with a lifeguard waiting at the bottom. |

| I was a bit put off by that too. Not nice to do that to someone who was having such a stressful time. The chances are that she probably wouldn't have done it in the two minutes so the way they were speaking to her was probably unnecessary anyway. |

| The reason you have to have your passport is because the producers get all required visas prior to the race. They also get extra visas for countries not visited so the racers don't know where they are going. So their passports may have Chinese, Indian and Russian visas but they may only go to China. Even if teams were able to get a replacement passport before leaving on the next leg they would not have the required visas. |
