Re:Great start Reply to this message
If you don't want to find out who is eliminated perhaps don't google TAR for the time being. With 11 teams and two more non elimination legs this series should run for maybe 10-12 weeks (that is if they follow previous seasons and don't eliminate two teams in the one episode). If this is the case it will take us into the non rating period. Channel 7 might start screening double episodes nearing the end of the series to ensure the ratings are included, bringing us very close to the time the finale is shown in US.

Re:Great start Reply to this message
The only team I dislike was the Poker Player girls. Glad they came last.

We are 3 weeks behind the States. With spoilers on the internet, this is not good enough.

Re:Great start Reply to this message
i was surprised how short the leg was, cos they usually do a heap on the first leg to give the first team whos getting eliminated a good ride and they usually camp out somewhere.

i think the yoga people took getting eliminated pretty well but i was bummed that it wasnt the angry boyfriend and his girl (red team)
i like most of the teams but i dont like the globetrotters cos theyre like famous enough (and it didnt say anything about them honouring a friend on the show) i dont like how the poker girls are lying and i think that the pink hair guy and his dad are kind of weird and i dont like the angry boyfriend

i was surprised at the non elimination and if im not wrong i think that it was one of three this season

Re:Great start Reply to this message
The trouble with the Japanese game show idea was that the host waited for all teams to arrive before he started, so any advantage that any team had built up until that stage of the leg was virtually wiped off the board, and the game was effectively restarted at that point. The game that followed was largely luck as to when the teams left the studio. That's probably why it was a non-elimination leg, and rightly so.

we are not behind the states, didn't this season only start a few weeks ago? i mean survivor is 18months behind, the bachelor almost 4 years behind. beauty and the geek 6months behind, and other shows haven't been aired for years.

Re:Great start Reply to this message
James - I think it was because they were already last so a 2 hour penalty would have been meaningless. And then told them it wouldn't be an elimination anyway.

I just adored the total madness of that Japanese game show. Japanese people are fun!! LOL

Re:Great start Reply to this message
yeah it was a good start. i dont like the poker girls, i really hope they go next, i was spewing when they didnt get eliminated last night! i dont like the fact that they are telling a lie to everyone and there poker players so they dont need the money, they would probably blow it on gambling anyway!
You know the last two teams that were left looking for th number plate, i was kinda hoping the yoga ppl would have gotten in before that other couple (the big guy that was in red and his girlfriend). That guy is soooooooooooooooooooo annoying.
Looks like it will be a good series. i hope they go to oz this time!

Re:Great start Reply to this message
soooooo...It isn't only me who was laughing at the last two couples to find the plate.

Agree about the poker girls too...already the most annoying....could have chosen a better story than working for the homeless...that is pure deceit.

The lawyer guy is a close second on my hit list.

Think the winners last night were Cheyne & ?

My early favs are also the Harlem Globetrotters and one of the other couples.

I also agree with the great start to the series. I love the poker players and Mika and Caanan. It is such a great show. Seven should have promoted it more. I don't think that people realised that it began last night.

Re:Great start Reply to this message
Agree was glad they never got to even get on a plane, the yoga masters angle they were obviously going to bring up at every opportunity was going to be damn annoying. Riding a motorcycle with no helmets pretty much sumed up their intelligence level.

It was kind of a shame the poker ladies didn't get elimated though (as if we didn't see that coming) as they are probably the next most annoying.

Interesting that Phil didn't give the two hour penalty option for losing a Japanese tourist to the team who checked in before them that he gave to the poker girls. Obvisouly unless they were stupid they would have gone looking for her but they should have been given the option. You'd think the Poker girls would have been smart enough to say oh we'll go look for the tourists we lost rather than check in then.

At this stage I am going for the Harlem globetrotters guys. I also liked the team who finished first but I can't for the life of me remember who they are at the moment.

Looks like it'll be another great series for sure.

I really enjoyed that first ep of the new series. It was completely insane!!! :) And was dead pleased with who got eliminated before the race began. Those two had been so arrogant and all "we're so muscle-bound we can't lose" during the intros it was kinda funny that they blew it!! Pity they didn't develop the muscle between their ears LMAO
