Re:Huntington's Disease Reply to this message
Huntington's Disease has been a horrible part to my family, My Father had Huntington's and so did my brother whom passed away 4 years ago now. I had the tests done to see if i carried the gene and am very fortunate that i do not have it.
Watching my brother in the last years was and always will be the worst time, i only hope and pray that one day there will be a cure.
Anyone having this in their family are in my thoughts and prayers and with your entire family as this effects you all.

Dear Scarface...My heart goes out to you...I know what you are going through...you sound like a very strong person and I admire you greatly. I hope the good memories of your family will give you the strength and peace you deserve. You have given me a little more courage to face what will be happening to my dear husband...thank you and bless you.

Re:Huntington's Disease Reply to this message
This is much more common than some of the diseases they have portrayed on All Saints but it would be beneficial as there are many forms of CP which people may not be aware of. Unfortunately the show has finished otherwise I would have advised you to make contact with the show's production company and asked them to consider it. CP of course can be very mild but as you probably know it can also be extreme. If it has touched you I am sorry, people should not have to suffer these conditions. I wish you well.

If you have this disease in the family and want to make contact with other sufferers either publicly or privately please go to
www.hdaustralia.org
You can call yourself anything and don't need to reveal any family names. This devastating disease makes people feel very alone but there are many people out there feeling the same way you do.

I have just lost my 2nd son to Huntington's Disease aged 11yrs. He would have been 12 last week. My first son died at 7 in 2001 in my arms. My husband is in a nursing home. This disease has wiped out my entire family, please be thankful for your health and I hope that nobody ever has to go through what I have in the last 10 years.

Because I must take my husband to hospital for respite and treatment, I have seen many Huntington's victims...Believe me, folks, get down on your knees and thank your choice of god for your health. Thanks, All Saints for educating viewers regarding this disease...

Re:Huntington's Disease Reply to this message
I have a friend who specializes in the dietary care of Huntington's patients. It is one of those unglamourous diseases, so thanks ALL SAINTS yet again for bringing to the public attention something that a lot of people suffer with.
