Thanks Super, if you are missing out, try Viagra, personally don't need it but obviously you need to wear glasses when you shave yourself to find it, so you avoid removing the wrong whisker, LOL.
Hope that helps the form of envy you display!

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
Well, of course I am right!! The overall team and individual scoresheets for the past two years have been a tad scratchy, but, if you look at, at least 5 or 6 that got away early, including the Lionesses in round 1, Sydney, in Sydney, and Hawkettes in Tazzie to a largely uncertain and inexperienced playing group, they were thereabouts. They are certainly starting to rewrite the annals of the "House of Pain" and, to a large extent, they will develop into a more ruthless group over next 2-3 seasons, burying sides that don't get off the bus before the 1st quarter!
I am gathering that they see Hansen as a Goalsquare lurker given his knees are as dodgy as Ash Mac's were, he is not thus far in the same class and unlikely to be so...someone else obviously believes otherwise. I was the most disappointed person I know when they "rolled" the dice with Brad Smith, he is/was an absolute goal machine, he and Lecca would have made a 4 to 8 goals a game difference I believe last year.
Oh well, bring it on...2010, etc.

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
I hope your right about Kennedy Wanton because we need a key target up forward to compliment LeCras. Given Kennedy went at number 4 in the draft a while ago now he hasnt lived upto expectations, injuries aside he is not in the class of other roaming forwards like Riewoldt, Franklin, Richardson etc. You right Judd has a use by date...dont think he is anywhere near yet though. Whats your take on Kerr if he has another average year in 2010?

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
LOL, unbelievable, a debate of more than 2 posts about the WCE's in 2009!!
Judd, has a "use by" date, as do we all, sadly. In relative terms, given our needs, Kennedy is a nice fit. Has pace strength and will develop good goal sense, although not essential given the breadth of his roam. The tendency for Key positional static play is not such an issue. Larger players of mobility that use the pill well are where it's at. Look at Lynch's performance in the Club Champions awards. Many saw him simply as a CHF or CHB. Same was said of Richo. I was always of the opinion players such as Richo and Lynch, even Tarrant would be better value at range from goal. Same with Brendan Fewster, needed to be further from Goal I reckon, hate to get a roost from them where the sun don't shine.
Speaking of such things,
How do you tell the age of a Camel??
..
,.. Ezi, just look up it's date

Erm Kennedy a worthwhile swap with interest for Judd??..Has your brain been starved of O2 lately?Be honest we took him because we didnt have a choice! He is a handy player but he wont be a match winner and he wont win us any flags. He isnt in the same league as Judd and never will be. Naitanui will be the one to watch.

wanton - I watched Chad flatliner play for Subi on teh weekend and he was named amongst their best .... which is ok if you don't mind the fact he was never within 30-50m of an opponent and when they were he was trying to get a team mate to follow his opponent instead

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
I was at Subi on Friday Al & often he was in the right place at the right time to straighten them up. His pass to McKinley was sheer class. (Or a miskick!) LOL. OK, so his disposal is confusing, but then, so is Priddis's often. The forwards must cringe leading out when Priddis has it. You need to be a Sandilands with the spring of Naitanui and the judgement of Brett Burton to be a show of holding a mark without having a Campbell Brown like fist crushing your fingers when trying to mark. Won't matter how well you judge the lead, he floats it so high and is more likely to hit up the defenders than his forwards.
Oh well, next year!
Fletch was really good when it counted in 2001-2006 anyhow I reckon.

11) Umpires WILL err on the side of the home team and they WILL get more free kicks than the traveling team ... especially when that team is the Sydney Swans.

#5 I doubt wanton, he's all washed up ... good in the WAFL but he hasn't been "the link man" for quite a while and not missed at all.

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
On a more "Football" note, Subi was a good place to be last Friday. The stands were buzzing and despite the general opinion that because it was WCE & R'mond, little could be relied on as indicative of Season 2010 other than.
1) Nic Nat will be suspended at least once in his first 3 Seasons, he won't take a backward step!
2) Oooh Aaah, Mark LeCras "is" a Superstar!
3) Richmond are predictable in that coming out of defence, they habitually "Switch!"
4) The big "Q" is a better asset than his myriad detractors are willing to concede!
5) Chad Fletcher's experience as a link man and at the stoppages will be missed, not sorely, but missed.
6) Natty Nic will become the most outstanding Follower over the next decade, Injury and Umpires willing.
7) McKinley has impressive pace and as the midfield "grows", so will his effectiveness.
8) Josh Kennedy's work ethic and Athletiscism is a worthwhile compensation for the Juddster, with Interest.
9) The Crowds at Subiaco were, are, and will be among the best educated and respectful of talent, despite the Colours they wear.
10) Darren Glass was, is, will remain an outstanding leader and stalwart in the West Coast's defensive/offensive rebounding structure.
Further to earlier, Richmond have some outstanding players of the future in Jack Reiwoldt, Morton etc.

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
has been oft said, the proof of the pie is in the eating. A bit like the question, how can you calculate the age of an Emu? Simply, look up it's date M8!
If the 1944 is indicative of the era during which your wit, social skills and English Expression evolved, then possibly, you may, as we all do, develop the language of communication influenced by a broad confluence of intermingling societies, ethnicity and such demographic nuances.
Today's language, appropriately, as language is dynamic and has evolved from before reliable records were first kept, despite the prejudices of many of us, into a kaleidoscope that can be comprehended by most, including inflections of tone and compilation. That English, courtesy of spell checker, Microsoft etc. will inevitably resemble more and more the Americanese developments such as Labour/Labor and myriad others, hopefully excluding the glamourisation, or glamorization of K Rap and Noo Yawk Street Speak, Alabama or Louisianna Coo n as s, purely because "it", language can be confusing enough as it is, lending itself to global misunderstanding and misinformation.
Simply put, like most, my language and expression has evolved in Australia, and overseas, over the entire course of my life.

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
A lot can be attributed to a poor conversion rate, but Hurn was always going to be a big ask for Aker and Johnno vs Selwood, enough said really. I suspected that the old rebound footy was on the cards and sooner, rather than later, the raw talent would see the corridor used effectively.
West Coast, from the little I saw of the worm in the 1st and beginning of 2nd Qtrs, successfully pushed the Bullies wide, applied great defensive pressure to force turnovers and run and stun against a side that prides itself on that game! Natty Nic and the big Q won in the Rucks well and Glass & Co. kept it tight and damaging on rebound.
Some interesting stats; Wesy Coast have won 4 of the last 5 against the Bullies, only 29% of sides with a 6 day break have won that following match, and this breaks a duck at Etihad and just misses the record for away losses.
Matches to come are Nth Melb. at Subi, Adelaide at AAMI & lastly, Bennymond at Subi. The last I have 2 Seats in the Eagles Members and I still have Tickets to be claimed from Richmond. If anyone is interested in the RFC seats, if still available, let me know, will see what I can do. The Eagles Members Seats, 4getaboutit!! Have missed too many matches altogether already, LOL.
Bring it on, might even fly to Adelaide and lean on the Rellies for Crows tickets if Eagles tickets aren't available! They may yet end the year with 4 wins on the trot! Getting ahead of myself??...Always ;-)

Re:Class of 2009 Reply to this message
As the year closes, there are still shots to be fired. I notice that Sheahan has "shut the F..k up", for now about West Coast cheating, expect no retractions however!
2008/2009 has seen a lot of youngsters get to try their arm on the top flight, any Top Guns emerged, or emerging!? I believe so. Some of whom have had their wings, or beaks, clipped. Pat McGinnity to a cheap shot, pre-season from Maxwell 'cause he showed him up! He is a quality act and will develop. Ebert, is tall and solidly built for a Classic Pivot, but will grow and gain poise. Masten will adjust to the pace and get more time for quality disposal.
Kerr's season is over, opens the door for another Rookie to be elevated and tested. Kennedy will continue to develop and Lecca, Kennedy stated on the Couch he would have him in his midfield any day. McKinley can, Wilson can and the big "Q" must be close to a B & F this year with Cox lame.
Natty Nic, well suited to go for it against Essendon, Dogs are harder, but Seabs needs to show what he has on the Auction block so he might be in for a biggee this weekend. (0(ky, Jamie Mac, Hurn, Eric McK, Schofield, Brown, Scotty Selwood, Tom Swift, Tim Houlihan and Ryan Davis are all in the mix to step it up.
With Kerr going LTI listed, AFL willing, it is opportune to elevate say, Ryan Davis who did pretty well earlier in the year and has been in excellent form in the WAFL. You can't keep developing draftees without testing them under fire. Especially when they can nominate for the draft if overlooked for two years on the Rookie List.
Aside from Duty of Care over Injuries Management, it is a question of developing a future as well. Losing Cuzz, Judd, Braun & Daniel Chick, regardless of reason, would hurt any Club.
The future is now at West Coast I believe, & looks in better shape than many concede. Remember trips to the Gabba, Sydney, Tassie were ones on the road that got away!

A few of mine seem to have v@nished also wanton.

Anyways, good effort against the Cats but we must remember. they were cruising. Jaime McNamara, besides his obvious blunder, had a real crack as did the other young kids. Haven't been a fan of Ebert or Masten as yet, but they showed glimpses of what may be.

Spangher was good and Stenglein did a real job on Johnson. Now we need some consistency, even though that effort will take a lot out of the boys, hopefully we can travel to Melb to face a fired up Tigers outfit and be up for it.

Been a while since this trotted out, but then, my last post here v@n1shed apparently, can only assume it was tired! As ConFoo shis say, Man who run in front of bus, likey to get tired ( When spelt in Americanese anyhow...) Tyred in English, Americanese a better fit really.

Swift to start at Pivot.... now that is a big call, Good Luck young man, with Abs, Clingin' Ling and Jimmy Barts, you might feel like Homer at High School on his 1st Day... On the other hand, you may just give us something to lift and shout about! Gr8 to see Jamie Mc. back as well, go Eaglets, give'em Catnip.
