| leighjpw, I agree with you re king hits etc, however lets look at strakers case in its perspective. The eagles coach would be as pleased as all get out at strakers play, why? he was tagging hall and as a backman he would have been instructed to hassle, hassle and try and put hall off his game. this he did superbly, so well in fact that hall exploded in the roughest way, with a king hit. All the other teams in the comp for the next 7 weeks will have to change their game plan, they dont have to worry about the swans forward line which would have included hall. They may or not be pleased with that problem. As for the tribunal, 3 men had to decide the penalty after hearing evidense for 1 hour, then they took 7 minutes to decide his fate. What took them so long? The AFL has to take a good look at all matches to see the forearms that are being used to fend off tackles and apply tackles and make the tribunal work a bit harder. |

| today we seen how useless the tribunal really is,one hit wonders and king hitters have no place in our game today,watch our news at night and see the results of those who have been on the end of this gutless assult,families destroyed young men left in a place of no return,DO WE REALLY WANT THIS IN OUR GREAT GAME. NO lets make all punch's a criminal offence and see it stamped out,we have a wonderful game that has changed over the years and now we need the disaplin to be change with it.we cant have champions in wheelchairs of coffins and if this is allowed it WILL happen,there is no excuse for what barry hall done,i played football for many years i was a real hot head but never took it on the field,thats where men play to be champions not fighters,i hope more people will back me up and demand a more answer'able tribunal when it comes to this behaviour.reguardless of who you support,we want our champions to play the game | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
