| gt know doubt the swaniies will be higher than the weagles yet this will be the same with most clubs, the weagles losing their 2 premier midfielders means a lack of depth in the middle,i feel for them |

I hear the Egos are optimistic about the year that's ahead ... they will need that + some humour.

I'm hoping for a big year, and maybe a feeling of "us vs them" has emerged which creates a tight unit.
Eagles for premiers 08. |

It is now mid January and Pre Season is well under way. The Men and Boys are back at the "Office", so what, when, who will step up to fill some pretty big shoes.
Love him or hate him, one of West Coast's greatest has sadly departed, hopefully for better fields!
Chris Judd after 6 years of mostly loyal service has slipped back where we all knew he must eventually head, albeit with care to do the "righty" by West Coast.
Daniel Chick, another that filled fans with ambivalent feelings, but, always added spine and bite to the rebound. Pity he spent so long at the Hawks! Good luck at Subi!
There is still a good core of players like Kerr, Cox, Hunter, Glass, Priddis, Wirra, Braun, Lynch, Armstrong, Stenglein, Hurn, Selwood, Seaby, Hansen, LeCras, Embley, Fletcher, Graham, Nicoski, Rosa, Waters.
The emerging players and some ready to go recruits will I believe catch a few on the hop as did Collingwood last year. The competition is very even and this year will test just how much Woosh and Co. have to create a sound unit from the raw material they have. Cupboards not as bare as some hope! |
