I'll be interested to see where Fords goes for this so called second 'factory' team to match HSV. Could it be a case of starting from scratch or buying into a established team?
They basically need two licences from somewhere, well i assume it will be a two car team to match HSV. Time will tell. |

Yes it is a REAL Shame, DJR was driving Fords when they were Not Winning, like the Mustangs in the mid 1980's, but he stayed with them, then they won everything in 1988 through to 1991, before the Nissans arrived. But he didnt win to much in the 1990's but stuck with them, and he won with his EB Falcon, so many wins in ATCC with John Bown in 1995, and the lean years of the AU Falcon, to his retirement from Racing.
But Ford just walks away like this is something Fans & Customers will not like at all. |

| I just noticed that Ford Australia is stopping funding for some Ford Teams for the 2009 Season, like Ford Legend D Johnson Racing etc, all this cause they want to save a lousy $3 Million ????? That is nothing to a huge company like this, I hope there isnt a huge backlash from this, as they are now not backing some famous Ford names ( D Johnson, Jason Bright and many others ) as the last thing we all want to see is DJR + Other Teams driving a Commodore cause Ford was too tight assed to back them. |
