| Just leaving a message for Stac who I haven't seen on here in ages..... was at Brissy airport last saturday and happened upon a dancing V8 driver who signed an autograph for us and managed to look very apologetic when asked to please not repeat a certain act on a holden driver at Qld this year....didn't realise until too late we could have had Shane's autograph as well!!! |

| Remember Lowndes on Tander during Race 3 at Phillip Island last year? He does stuff like that all the time. I like it, but I thought I'd point it out. James Courtney is Ford's answer to Paul Dumbrell, only Courtney has a couple of decent results to go next to his name. |

| I found it difficult to see who was at fault, yes they were pushing each other, but I thought Lowndes looked like he had made a clear move, but then both he and Courtney connected. Now, I'm a huge fan of both Lowndes and Courtney, but I must say that Courtney's end of race interview caused me to lose a bit respect for him. He had been making aggressive moves ALL weekend, how many cars did he actually cause damage to at one point or another??? Many drivers were unhappy with Courtney. Did Lowndes do the right thing??? I don't know, if he didn't, then he paid the ultimate price didn't he? Should Courtney have backed off and been less aggressive in defending his position??? Who knows maybe they both would have finished the race if he had??? Either way, if Courtney made the mistake, he too paid the ultimate price. I agree with a previous poster, I felt for Frosty, he was the innocent party. However, I've also lost a bit of respect for him too - I don't agree that Craig Lowndes is a dirty driver. More often than not his moves are clean and gets the job done without any interference to other drivers. It's very rare that you see Lowndes make the sort of moves that he did during race 2, moves that are very very risky and take out other drivers if made incorrectly. Maybe Frosty should have directed those comments more to Courtney? Is he perhaps a dirty driver??? I hope not because I do like him, but he needs to take a long hard look at himself before he goes bagging other drivers for doing the very things that he does. |

| Actually....Ross Stone was probably egging him on (opinion based on interview after both cars took each other out).....they will use the decisions made after Saturdays race...re the incident with Whicup and Stevie Richards (no penalty) and other not coming to mind to justify their passing tactics in Sunday's race. I would say that Lowndes and Courtney got what they deserved...but my biggest commiserations go to Frosty....wrong place...wrong time..... If Courtney is good enough and the car is fast...he doesn't need the rough bully tactics...skill gets you there.... |
