| Cant beat them if he doesnt race them. The experience of playing first grade will help his confidence when he goes back to the reserves(BUSCH) |

this weekend will be the test though Pete....Sonoma and his Cup debut.
I'll be stoked if he makes the field, anything more than that will be a bonus :) |

| Marcos finished the Kentucky 300 in 11th position. With 43 laps remaining he was up to 7th but had a "tight" set-up that was hard to corner. There were 3 yellows in the last 50 laps which did not suit the #59 car and at each restart he was shuffled back 1 or 2 positions on each re-start.Next weekend its on again and finally we saw the Wood Brothers getting some coverage during this race when Marcos was fighting for 7th with 3 other drivers. He still remains 2nd in the Raybestos Rookie cup(ahead of Montoya)Man these Billy-bobs know how to put on a race and I cant wait to watch one live around Xmas.Hopefully Marcos will still be in the top 10 by then. |

| Marcos has Qualified in 6th pos after session No1 .Forget your petty Holden Vs FORD this is an AUSSIE giving it to the YANKS.See how he goes this weekend at the first track he has actually raced on before.Untill this weekend all the race tracks have been totally new to him and we all know you aint going to win Bathurst if you never ever been there.Same goes over there,Marcos at least doesnt have to ask "wheres the toilet"and "can I get a pie around here?". |

No offence guys, but I would rather see a younger guy try to do what Marcos is...as good as Lowndes is, I hope someone like Whincup or Courtney gets the nod. That said, Lowndes doesn't have anything to prove (except win the title in a Ford) I guess so he is the most logical pick.
btw, can anyone tell me what my "profanity" was in my last comment...I'm struggling to figure it out here! |

| Power may go Nascar but his heart lies in F1.My hunch is Lowndes in the Truck series in 08-09.The Wood Bros Team manager let slip that another Ausssie was testing over Xmas break.Who else could it be???Ambrose and ..???......as team mates for Wood Bros |

| That is true and with recent results in the last ten years of Indy drivers like Robby Gordon, Tony Stewart, Casey Mears and more jumping to NASCAR and having success means that an opportunity for Will Power does exist providing he catches the eye of either Nextel or Busch series teams |

Ambrose is doing fantastically well considering that Wood Brothers/JTG Racing is not the best perfoming team in the paddock compared to Roush/Fenway Racing or Hendrick Motorsport.
Ambrose is Top 10 in points, has three top 10 finishes and in point standings is beating Juan Pablo Montoya who is NASCAR's favourite driver in terms of being mentioned during a race which seems to be every 30 seconds.
If he did not get spun at Mexico City and got taken out towards the end of the race at Talledega things could be so much better like a podium or even a win.
So apart from Craig Lowndes there is no doubt that Marcos Ambrose is the best Australian to be sent to the USA to show people how racing is done |

| Nascar might be boring if you dont know any of the teams ,drivers, sponsors etc....Seeing that holden has no involvement in this catagory then the gmH fans are missing out.The FORD fans seem to be the most informed Australians regarding NASCAR and this is only because of Ambrose and the bus load of Aussie FORD drivers who have had a crack at it.In reality, after watching the V8s over the last two seasons I cant see Ambrose ever competing back in Aust. Why would or should he????? |

NASCAR is boring?
Strange....I can only presume that everyone who says that is speaking from experience having tailgated 40 other cars for 2 hours at 180 mph to make such a statement.
I find NASCAR far more interesting than our V8's to be honest...more passing, longer races, harder racing and a far better spectator sport since you can see the whole track if you go to a race. Oh and the TV coverage is a lot better too...but that's not really hard to achieve these days, lol |

| Ambrose was quoted saying that more aggression was needed at critical stages during a race. The trick is to learn "when" the critical moments occure and not leave it to a late charge which is almost impossible in NASCAR. |

Well done to Marcos, great result for a top 10 finish and qualifing 3rd fastest.
Thats it holden_skaife, lose the argument on what car brand is currently leading the championships, then stick that bottom lip out. |
