| Ambrose is pushing for a top 5 finish to the championship. The fact he has gone this good in a poor team is credit enough for the Aussie. He knows it but more importantly THEY know it. |

| The extra 100 hp is a lot more to handle in a Nextel Cup Car. Its the same car as a Busch car but has 850hp instead of the 750hp engines that marcos is driving now,making it easier to spin the car if you open it too early. |

| Wood Brothers racing have to give him a competitive Nextel Cup Car for next season or Ambrose could find himself driving for Robby Gordon Racing. The Owner/Driver was impressed with Marcos and is need of another driver in 08 for both series. |

| A driver over here has to drive for years to crack 100 race starts. Marcos nearly has that now when his truck and Busch starts are added. Next season he will be driving twice a week when he drive Both Busch and the big NEXTEL CUP cars.Doing double duty like the other 15-20 drivers every week will give him around 70 race start for 1 season alone. |

| good driver for Marcos. A top 10 looked a possibility if he had pitted with the others since they blew by him on the fresh tyres but 15th is still mighty good...and his best on a short-track. the week off is thoroughly deserved for him, lol |

| At the start of the year Wood bros would have hoped for Marcos to be in the automatic top 35 selections. With only 12 races left the Aussie is in 8th place and catching the next 3 drivers. Considering the amount of Nextel Cup drivers last week it was surprising to see Marcos the second best placed Busch driver in the race. |

| Back to the half mile short course next week. Last weeks banked oval will seem huge when compared to tearing around this tennis court. These are a bogey for the Aussie so far.Dont expect much better than top 30 finish. Oh well another type of track.Marcos is still the apprentice on these. |

| That was the most boring race I've seen all year....good thing Denny and Matt were racing real hard in the first half of the race or I'd have fallen asleep. As it was, I had it on mute and was listening to a CD instead....Marcos finished 19th by the way. He's closing on the 7th place guy in the points (60 or something I think). |

| After 2nd practice session;#59 Marcos Ambrose has posted the 8th quickest time for tomorrow mornings race. 1 practice to go and then its on.Marcos is actually the highest placed BUSCH driver with all above him being NEXTEL Cup drivers who are doing double-duty this weekend. Marcos said he was glad to have so many of the big-boys in this race and he was looking forward to seeing how he goes |

| You will find that a number of motor sports place restrictions to many technical aspects to a racing car development in order to control the speeds. F1 is a prime example of the governing body pulling the speed back with restrictions to the rules, but the teams keep finding ways of getting the speed back with technical development. Straight line speed is not the be all end all of a racing car. Without sounding like i am stating the obvious. NASCAR's are primarily a oval track open throttle car that happens to also race on circuits. Where touring car only race circuit type tracks. So what if NASCAR go faster around in circles. Just because a class of racing car goes slower a round a track does not mean the racing not as good. |
