A lot of talk, lack of quality action and lack of attention to tactics at the appropriate time sums up Cadel's performance. Besides questioning his attitude I question his over physical fitness.

If he gets the runner-up hat trick, he may be better remembered than any of the previous winners (cept Lance ofcourse)......good to see an Aussie at the top of a euro dominated sport, you always got my support Cadel!!!

Cadel Evans is a very good bike rider, but he don't have the quality to be a great champion.

It more I case, a fact of no major European team being willing to headline their team with an Australian f[or sponsorship reasons] It's worth more money to them to have a star European rider. Of course the only exception Lance's team which has been pupose built for the American [and America] Simply put, unless any Australian companies with significant business interests in Europe decide to sponor a team and headline it with an Australian, it's not going to happen. It's not just about sport here, or Cadel, it's capitalism that turns the machine of victory.

I agree with you 100%. They say Armstrong won 7 years of racing, Well hello!!!! was not his team there to support him and to take the back burner on his wins.As a very strong supporter of Armstrongs and even went to Paris to watch,I was especially interested in listening to his victory speach and not once did he thank his team NOT ONCE.He is good but he could not have done it without the team. As for Cadel, he has got to get a bit more mind over matter or a bit of noust about him and start getting over his 2nd place doldrums. He has a very negative attitude sometimes, but dont all of us. Go Cadel maybe this year, finger crossed

Further More, Everyone says the LOTO Team let down Evans. I say Evans let down himself. Why?
You can't improve the team then you should switch a better team. But his gutless preformence impresses no ones eyes!
Is there any good team mamager interesting to take on board a guy run up twice but fail to win any stage, nervce when in good position, show no fighting spirit when is down.
Every year's tour winner was a fighter which in somewhat blowed our mind in some stage.
Come on Evans, come on. you can do it. prove I'm wrong. |

CADEL EVANS IS LIKE RON CLARKE ,A GREAT SPORTSMAN ,BUT HE NEEDS 2 THINGS .1.SUPPORT FROM HIS TEAM 2.A MORE POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE.. BUT TO CONDEM HIM IN ANY WAY IS TOTALY WITHOUT JUSTIFICATION.AFTER ALL HE HAS TWICE BEEN SECOND.WHICH OF THE ARM CHAIR CRITICS CAN SAY THEY CAME SECOND IN THE TOUR OF FRANCE.SO LAY OFF HIM.JUST SUPPORT THIS CHAMPION AND DECENT MAN.....

Never, he is a highly strung sportsman like most. He has also been runner up twice in the tour without help from his teammates. Its about time lotto looked at their other poor performing riders. Armstrong would not have won as many without his team.I am not surprised that cadel is frustrated with his team, they simply cannot keep up and support him

Cadel isn't a man in winning mood. He never looked like a winner. He is a guy dosn't want to lose this and dosn't want to lose that...
Before the term time trial, I thought Cadel should ready for a solo ride (almost like what Cancellara did yesterday) because weaker termmember can only contrabute negatively. Simple as that. Still, they did according to book. Cycling is also a mind game, too many time Cadel looked like a fool. |

I do not think so. He does not have the quality support in his own team. He has already upset some of them and he has very little support outside his own team. He has upset the politics of the tour.
