Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
Just been reading the draw. RF doesn't have the easiest nor does JB. With Arod withdrawing James goes up a ranking and Gasquet now #8 gets the better spot. Maybe he can move the little princess off her throne...It either get that far it should be a good match.

Sorry Kraavitz - don't know what happened with that link, it seems to work ok here but no matter - you've got it anyway.

Hopefully Rafa is well rested and recovered enough to do well in this tournament - looking forward to some exciting matches this week. Also Roger - with him gone in Rome I have completely lost interest.

Yes, we will have to see who will withdraw - am sure there will be a few what with RG coming up and players wanting to be at their best there. Later - S

Skip, I could not access the URL - not sure if it is related to the "livescoring" portion of your URL.

From the atptour website, I grabbed an alternate URL:
http://www.atptennis.com/en/common/TrackIt.asp?fil e=http://www.atptennis.com/1/posting/2008/414/mds. pdf

This time we have Novak in Rafa's half. Blake is in Novak's quarter and this would be an interesting match should it happen. I will speculate more toward the end of next week when the draw is further confirmed as I expect a couple of withdrawals at least.

Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
grs, skip - you're most welcome. Yeah, agree with you on that comment grs...loved that one too. Not every day one finds a racquet in "that" manner. Light relief works wonders sometimes and it's good to get away from our tough task ;-) of trying to predict who will win at Rome. Also noted the aberration that hit the Rome board...and so far all I can think is the result is 0/1 right now with James being bounced. Til later...Len

yes it is a nice digression and needed after the interruption on thr rome thread..thats a good article L. the best comment there is:
I threw it," Collins recalls. "I didn't realize it would have a life of its own. It bounced over the fence. A parking lot was there. A guy was getting out of his car. It hit him". some of those incidents I remember . Thanks for the ligth relief

Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
Nice digression - here is an interesting (and somewhat fun) read about tantrums on and off the court. I like the story from Taylor Dent in particular. Notes in here about Roger as well...

Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
Weekend, I seem to remember in the Wimbledon final last year that Roger was getting really irritated with some line calls and yelled a bit. That is the most angry I've ever seen him get although, when he was younger, he was said to have had a bit of a temper. Otherwise, he is usually pretty calm, doens't throw things etc Hope that helps.

Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
besides..you can always post a comment like that in the current threads because it is of interest to others. We have some good ones going like Rome right now and it will flow onto this one in Hamburg.

It is a case of asking a question that is relevent in anycase as yours was...and glad to have to aboard

Re:Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
Sorry its not on the topic of HAMBURG but I just wanted to see if anybody knew the answer to this question. I could have put it on one of the other threads but we've pretty much moved on from them.

Has anyone seen Federer crack under pressure?

I can't recall it happening but some of you out there may have.

Masters Series - HAMBURG Reply to this message
Time to start the thread for Hamburg.

Guess the first posting will be the withdrawal of Lleyton Hewitt one of last years semi finalists with lots of points now lost and many ranking positions.
