| Rodd-ick has always struggled against Haas who possesses a fluid all-court game similar to Federer's. |

| Haas is another example of a former top 10 player who has had injury/health problems and lost ranking points - hence a dangerous opponent for any player. His style of play really shows up Andy's weaknesses - similat to Federer's success over Andy. |

Well, unfortunate that Andy lost but thats life!
Just goes to show that consistency and focus is one aspect of Andy's game that needs work. Granted he may have had some issues with fatigue given that he has been from San Jose - Dubai and back to California again in just a few short weeks but then perhaps he is over-extending himself? He is getting on in age (for a tennis player, don't want to cause any offence to the senior set) but so is Haas who will be 30 any day now.
Anyway, Haas played better and Andy will have to try harder next time. |

Nope. A loser just like his biggest message board fan. He had a great, though close result against the Bye in round one, however when faced with a real player, he just couldn't cut the mustard. Couldn't even take a set against Haas (4-6, 4-6). So much for being a "form" player. Just shows he can only win when the big boys aren't around to show him how to play the game. Pathetic.
Just goes to show that it is not the coach - it is the player. He is way past it and should retire to save himself further embarrassment. |
