| This match today was his first real test and his other opponents were not very highly ranked at all. At least he will be 180 points. |

Lost a tight one 7-5 in the third to Youzhny.
Still, got some good match play in ahead of next weeks Shanghai Masters. Might possibly gain a couple of spots in the rankings after this week. |

Bad loss to Joachim Johansson (anyone remember that guy making the US Open semis???) last week, but ranking holds steady at 26.
Won first round at Japan Open today against a wildcard. Tournament first seed Del Potro went out in straight sets to a qualie. |
