well he will eb down as of no rome appearance and it looks as though he is missing Hamburg where he was a SF last year so massive poitns to loose. Fast approaching the 30 mark and falling

and Statsy you said it so right about getting macthes under your belt not just tournaments. OK winning is great but it is all a case of match practise..prtecting your rqnaking and if possible getting it up

What ever is wrong I hope it heals. He was certainly very upbeat about his chances in the clay court season:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,23532125- 23216,00.html

However he will loose some more ranking points before he next plays in Rome probably. He needs to keep in the top 32 or else he will havew no seedings in the up and coming grand Slams.

bloody hip issue.....unfortunately it may be time for him to give it away! If he can't get super fit again, it will be very hard for him to win matches, not just tournaments.....matches.

Statsy. see that idio made a new posting which of course I have ignored:

"Hasn't won anything decent since Queens's Club 2006.Has eroded most of the support he enjoyed early on by repeated whinging about anything when he loses.Just retire mate and go fishing"

He wont give up unless he can talkm about AR all the time. I see Lleyton isn't playing again until Rome Masters

My comments were directed to jm not you grsydney -he was the one suggesting LH should retire. Lleyton is the moving force in our DC team at present and seems to both encourage and inspire the other players young and not so young.

Hey I didn't say anything about LH needs to retire....

The youngsters are starting to come thought like Jones....but the gap betwwen them and those in the middle is hudge. Untill that enxt rung move up we wont have DC support and it can't be a one person team

Maybe Greg Norman and Alan Jones are a bit more intelligent than you then jmsamin. He is the mainstay of our Davis Cup Team and the "new faces" aren't going all that well - the nearest is ranked about 40 places below him. A ranking in the top 20 players in the world is pretty good in my estimation.

Re:Lleyton Hewitt's run back to the top ... Reply to this message
agree with u GRSSYDNEY To me Hewitt needs to stop playing Tennis and concentrate on stories about Bec Mia(the Baby) and himself in Womans Weekly and New Idea. I am sick of hearing his name after the Fiasco of This is Your Life on Channel 9 a few weeks ago. I was shocked to see Greg Norman and Alan Jones giving him a big promotion. He was a gr8 tennis player in his time and bcoz of his temper and attitude on court, he lost many people's respect. he lost mine and I want to see new faces!! in Aussie Tennis and let him retire and he has enough money from tennis promotional material and magazine articles that he can live nicely for the rest of his life on the revenue. I say LLeyton get a life!!!
