| Makes you wonder doesn't it, TLF? The tour moves over to Asia to give the Asian fans the chance to see world class tennis live but we get retirements coming out of the woodwork and poor attendance. Its a shame but there you go - tennis doesn't seem too popular in Asia. |

| You're hard to please mon - others obviously don't agree because the people DO turn up to watch (and have done for the last 10+ years) - to see matches that often wouldn't be played until the later stages of a tournament.(Much more exciting and not nearly as painful or expensive as your dental work) By the way - your theory about people turning up would be interesting if applied to Shanghai - empty seats galore in the early days - were the fans at the dentist or just watching on tv? |

| don't get me wrong, it's great for the players, but tournaments only get held if people turn up to watch them. IMO, this "tournament" is slightly more exciting than root canal surgery. |

| The players like it because it is just before the Australian Open so they can fine tune their games. It's also in the same City so they dont have to scream around the place and settle into a new time/zone, hotel etc There are no points to defend, so even if a player looses all his games, he gets paid and his ranking isnt affected. There is appearance money, no major sponsorship and mimimum media commitments. A lot of players would love to get invited to this ! |

| don't mean to be too critical, but I don't understand why this tournament is still being held. It's basically a glorified warm-up session held in an outdated venue. |
