can't believe this thread has not yet been deleted.
as grsydney stated, it is Blakes decision when to retire.
having said that -
he does seem to be at the crossroads following the two defeats at the Davis Cup. |

Who cares what you think Twisted.
It is Blake and Blake alone that will decide if and when he retires. For now he is there so like it or lump it |

| Querrey's experience on clay - a first round loss the last three years at the French and a loss in Davis Cup. Would he have done any better/ Easy to say so but the US Davis Cup selectors obviously didn't think he would. |

| If Blake doesn't do well over the next couple of months, he will drop further down the rankings. He has lost 9 places in the last 12 mths. He is getting on and no longer a shoo-in for a win. Querrey is not afraid of clay and should have been given a chance. How will the younger players step up if they don't get the chance? Young and Levine don't have the experience yet but Querrey does. As for Fish, well! Both Fish and Blake should start making retirement plans and bow out gracefully over next couple of seasons. |

There is nothing to wonder at. That first macth was a tough one. Anyone who has come up against Karlovic ask them. Verdasco, Tsonga both lost in four sets this year and his other matches have been battles for theior opponants including Roddick who managed to win in two t/b match at Queens. Besides Blake had beaten Karlovic on Clay in Madrid this year. He is the player all hope that they dont come up against.
And sorry to tell you ZB he is not retiring yet..Why should he |

hello...
I can't see any othe U.S. player living up to Roddick or Blake. Roddick could have won 5 Slam titles by now. He didn't. But that is still some acheivement. Also--Blake has more than held his own in Davis Cup (until now).
Young, and Querrey have not yet proven themselves. |

Yes, it is harsh to say that he is a choker but he has been playing terribly of late. His results have been disappointing. Apart from Queens, what has he done lately?
Why wasn't Querrey chosen instead? He shows lots of promise. |

Hello - I wouldnt say he is a choker. That is kinda harsh.
Blake needs to take a break from to tennis and to regroup.
Choosing Blake, based on recent form, for Davis Cup was a mistake.. I would have given younger players a go. |

Get over it Roddick didn't play...period
With Karlovic you have to take your chances when you get them as all the other players know. Blake took his chances and got that two sets.. Terhn Karlovic uped his game and shot were going in and his aces increased. It was good to see Blake serving much better and claiming 14 or so aces himself.
It wasn't a case of choking at all ZB. I watched the match. As for the corwd. Yes it was bad . It always seems to be in a lot of the DC matches. Yelling out when a playing is serving is NOT on and teh umpires agreed and tried to control the bositerous crowd. |

Contary top your suggested ixation on Blake. I happen to admire him as a person and his humanitairan work. He has given alot to tennis over the years and will continue to do do. Unlike you he loves the sport that has given him a career rathan than be a has been at the sport you profess to know so much about.
You are one sick puppy...both you and your alias' |
