"And if that fails, I recommend Stilnox. One bottle should be enough".
Thanks for the advice. By the sounds of your post you would know about that very well. |

I afraid it is you that's thick if you really think Hewitt's return was as good as or in style of Agassi's or Connors?
If it were, Hewitt would have won as many GS titles as the great Americans. Let's see how he goes against Roddick. My guess is he won't even take a set off Andy. |

Oh Codswallop.
Connors was just as an agressive return of server than Agassi's.
Hewitt's not even close to any of them. |

| I was comparing the STYLE of the return of serve, not their ability. Hewitt and Agassi are very similar, Connors was very different - how hard is that for you to get? |

| hahahaha No 53-47 Connors way as he had a slightly longer and impressiver career, but of course these are things we can argue about till doomsday. |

who cares? No-one is talking about "the best returner of all time".
Hewitt is a good returner and so was Agassi. I still think Roddick will be too good though. |

| sister - 50-50 on that one - Agassi had to return serves from Sampras, aided by the technology of better racquets - BOTH Agassi and Connors were outstanding in their era. |

| As the tournament progresses the grass dries out, surface becomes harder, balls bounce differently and faster, courts "speed up". - shorter points( in theory) |

Connors and not Agassi had the best return of serve over a slightly longer career in the history of the sport.
WTF if you agree with that. |

"Hewitt has always been Agassi like in his return game..."
Please explain? You heard of a player called Connors?
===
WTF has Connors got to do with what I wrote? I was saying that Lleyton has a similar return game to what Agassi had - or should I write, "Hewitt's return game is similar to Agassi's, other top players who could return the ball well are..."
The point is, Hewitt should handle the Roddick serve. |

sorry gr but the courts are indeed slower than they were years ago. Even though they have speeded up compared to early in the tournament they are still slow enough for long ralleys. Nadal would probably not have won the final last year, or even reached the final, if the courts were the same as ten years ago. They still produce irregular bounces, etc as only grass courts do, but have been slowed down for the clay-courters.
Still don't agree that Slams should be tie-breaks in the fifth just for the convenience of tv viewers. |

charming man...
the courts are still slow but not as slow as the opening three days. It's common knowledge that the All England club have made it a point of slowing the surface and comprssion of the balls over the last 10-12 years to promote rallies that longer than 2-3 shots. |

no TLF...
tennis has changed a lot and purists need to change with the times. Plus the courts have been slowed down and therefore the matches are becoming longer on grass with more baseliners. It is sad I know but that's the reality. |

| sister - tiebreakers could be re-named heart-breakers - the aim of an advantage 5th set is to give the fitter, better player just that an advantage. Too bad about tv, etc - bad enough to have the farcical situation where players can lose a match without losing their serve. |

Hewitt has the game and the heart to knock off Roddick. Like Del Potro, Roddick has a big serve and a big forehand - but little else to fall back on.
Hewitt has always been Agassi like in his return game, so the big serve will need to be spot on for Roddick to get up. If he is down 10%, Hewitt will run him around the court and wear him down. We know Lleyton won't stop.
The other good quarter final should be Murray v Juan Carlos, the pressue will all be on the big Scot to fulfill the enormous expectations the crowd will have on him.
In the other 2 games, I can't see Federer or Novak being troubled, they just seem to be cruising through - that would be a cracking semi, winner will take it all I think. |
