hello...
I was sorry to hear that Rafa has withdrawn.
Do you think this is going to affect the standard
of the tennis. Rafa when he is fit, is such a joy to watch.
It won't be the same. |

| That part of the drraw has never changed Vince. They have always been in different halves and could only meet in the finals |

oh i see what they've done (just had another look on-line). Juan Del Potro the #5 seed has been moved to where Nadal's top part of the section was.
TLF -dear lady will you be watching the full replay on fox sports 2 tomorrow afternoon of Federer v Nadal final of last year? |

"Murray will only play Roger if they both reach the final".
So then the answer is Yes the draws have been re-arranged so Federer and Murray will meet in the final, and not the semifinal as originally planned.
However there'll be no #1 seed this year but effectively Fed and Muzza are 1 and 2.
As always Thank you dear Lady for your valuable input. |

Wimbledon has its own site with the draws, etc and news
www.wimbledon.org also atp has a good site as well
www.atpworldtour.com
Wimbledon had it org a nised in case Rafa couldn't play - moved del Potro into his spot and adjusted some of the others - Murray will only play Roger if they both reach the final. |

"As far as a #1 seed goes - there isn't one. The draw has been rearranged but the seedings haven't changed".
and does this mean that Federererer and Murray are on opposite sides of the draw?
sweetie do you have a on-line link that you could paste for us about this. |

Lady you're so cute...
Have you ever had or experience tendonitis? I know I have!
re-read my posts I'm sure I stated somewhere for you not to believe the "nonesense" that Rafa's knees problem is just the tends. It's a tough sitaution but he'd be better off resting rather than having them operated.
Also do not be suprised if he's out for the rest of the year, I'm sorry.
I'm not really a Nadal fan but i'll be missing him.
Are you wearing a black arm band today? |

I did not insist that Rafa has only had tendinitis it is what his camp itself insists. Until he or his camp say otherwise how can anyone be poitive that it is more than that.
Personally I think he's made the right decision to withdraw from the tournament and allow his body a chance to heal.
As far as a #1 seed goes - there isn't one. The draw has been rearranged but the seedings haven't changed. |

hey grsydney - holy macro but what happens now. Does Wimbledon commence without a number 1 seed in the Mens's draw and Roger and the other 31 seeds remain as is or do Roger, Muzza and the 29 other seeds get promoted 1 spot higher.
I stand corrected but think it's too late now for the All England committee to change the seedings so Roger and Murray are #1 and #2 respectively on opposite halfs of the draw. |

| It must be pretty serious, much more than just run of the mill tendinitis (which bearyfolk insisted that it was), to come to this. Nadal must also be in doubt for The U.S Open coming up in 2 months. |

| No, cosy - straightforward - easy. At least, as easy as a Grand Slam draw can be. Soderling in the fourth round, maybe Karlovic in the quarters. Murray in the other half, can't really see Roge losing before the final to be honest. |

Probably the only time I would say this - but Hewitt will be hoping Nadal takes his place in the tournament. Under the rules, if Nadal withdrawals before the schedule of play is posted on Sunday, then his place will be taken by the fifth seed - Juan Martin Del Potro.
I think Hewitt would fancy his chances against Nadal with suspect knees more than against the giant del Potro. Mind you, he could easily lose to Ginepri in the first round.
Federer has a very, very cosy draw and must be a short favourite for the tournament now. |

Hewitt will be feeling confident that he gets nadal early, although he has had some shockers recently that certainly wouldn't have helped his ranking till now.
Gonzalez in the 1st round at Aus open, Nadal 3rd round at RG, Federer 4th round wimbledon last year.
If he can get past Nadal as easily as he did yesterday the tournament might just open up for him.
Tursonov, Ferrer, Davydenko, Roddick - i am sure he would back himself into the quarters, maybe even semis |

Rafa is young and should be able to recover more so than if he were older.
But knee surgery is pretty serious business and recovery is long, difficult and almost never 100%.
Rafa will have to adapt his style of play somewhat leading into the hardcourt season, or he will go the way of the Poo |

My God - you're a stubborn minded lady, lol.
Also too cute...
I think someone before me made the point it's the way Nadal plays the game that may have contributed to his problems with his knees (and i still say it's more serious than the tends) I declare GAME SET AND MATCH to me...
so it's a tough situation he's in - If Nadal has them operated his knees will never be the same.
If Nadal takes a long break from Tennis then overtime there's a chance they'll eventually heel, but he'll be a tad older then. |

Well I guess we wont know unless something else is said.
Maybe he has a bit of bone floating around in there irritating the muscles/tendons, or the back of his kneecaps might be a bit rough and need a clean up. I know that can cause problems with bending etc as I suffer from that myself.
I don't know they reckon playing sport is good for you, seems to me it just causes pain. LOL. |
